Partylite are fab. Only stumbled across them as my dsis started selling them. They're lush. Really good scent throw. The wicks don't burn black like Yankees do. The was melts last ages too.

deptfordgirl · 12/01/2018 13:54

I love Jo Malone but only get them occasionally because of the cost. Aldi dupes smell really good but are not very strong I can barely smell them after burning them for an hour. I loved the White Company Winter candle at Christmas and the whole house smelled like it after 5 minutes but I got some other scents in the sale and they aren't as strong.

Mulberry72 · 12/01/2018 14:15

Voluspa, they’re gorgeous.

QuiteCleanBandit · 12/01/2018 14:21

Another vote for St Eval
Tranquility is gorgeous.

Yankees smell really cheap and synthetic to me. I love Jo Malone and Diptyque - luckily I get a couple a year as gifts!

lookingforthecorkscrew · 12/01/2018 14:45

Miller Harris candles are also lovely

NeedsAsockamnesty · 12/01/2018 14:48

I prefer wax melts. I use candlewick green

ToothTrauma · 12/01/2018 14:50

DW Home. Can get them dirt cheap in Homesense.

For a spendy treat I love Mrs Todd. Amazing customer service too.

Puppymonkeybaby1 · 12/01/2018 14:50

Jo Malone for a treat. I had the sweet almond and macaroon one and used it every Friday night as a treat.

I also had a small Diptyque one and a Orla Kiely one which were lovely strong smells.

Current favourite is Blush by Lily Flame.

Hoviscats · 12/01/2018 14:51

always Neom for me. Once I had one I have never gone back to any other brand. Not cheap but butm totally evenly so you really get your moneys worth. far superior quality to jo Malone in my opinion

Bluelady · 12/01/2018 14:56

Lily Flame and Linea (HoF). Love Dyptique but after OH burnt an entire travel candle in one day I'm not spending that kind of money any more!

BooRadley35 · 12/01/2018 15:06

evil do you have cats? Recent news article said some essential oils are toxic to cats. Just a heads up Smile

PossiblyPFB · 12/01/2018 15:06

TK Maxx have had some excellent candles recently - I have really enjoyed a particular brand called Sand & Fog, pretty jars while burning and smell lovely and strong!

SilverySurfer · 12/01/2018 15:14

My own, made in the slow cooker.

saladdays66 · 12/01/2018 15:18

White Company.

SeamstressfromTreacleMineRoad · 12/01/2018 15:18

None. They give me terrible asthma - even when unlit... Sad
I've become more and more reactive to them (& pollen, & air fresheners & many perfumes & all aerosols) over the last ten years - and now I can't be in a room with one for 10 minutes without starting to wheeze... Angry
It's SUCH a pain..! SadSadSad

Ginorchoc · 12/01/2018 15:19

Neom are great, used to buy them on special offers but they do them in TK Maxx now as well.

TheBadgersMadeMeDoIt · 12/01/2018 15:24

I'm fond of Lily Flame. Such a great range of scents and some of them are quite unusual (Mellow Fig and Garden Mint is lovely).

Plus the tins are pretty.

MascaraWanda · 12/01/2018 15:29

I really like the Country Candle Company. The saffron sandlewood one is lovely.

Redglitter · 12/01/2018 15:32

*The White company. I also like the odd WoodWick candle.

Yankee are pretty crappy*

Exactly what I was thinking 😊

kaytee87 · 12/01/2018 15:38

I forgot about wood wick. My sil bought me one a while ago that was nice, maybe I will try them again.

Diptyque, very good fragrance's, expensive but last a long time my all time favourite.

Bahoma, From TKMaxx very good value subtle fragrances, they sell the same ones that are still on the Bahoma website for ££££'s less

Pecksniffs, again you can get in TKMaxx good quality at the price.

Tried the Aldi ones and was very disappointing, poor fragrance and burnt out at one side.

Was bought a Yankee candle, Christmas something or other one this year, it was so sweet and cloying, very artificial, and really reminded me of toilet cleaner.

Itsjustaphase84 · 12/01/2018 15:39

White Company Pomegranate. Yankee Candle:Baby Blanket which gives a fresh fabric softner smell if you like loitering in the laundry cleaning isle at the supermarket.Blush

Im going off the sweet/sickly smells of yankee candles these days.

Becca8675309 · 12/01/2018 15:42

Yankee candles are disgusting.

SinglePringle · 12/01/2018 15:46

Diptyque, True Grace, Kate Hoxton and Neom are my favourites with M&J Grapefruit and Ginger or Rhubarb Flower following.

Yankee make me recoil when I smell them and, due to their heavy paraffin content, give me a banging headache. Awful product (and I hate the twee names / image).
