These things are designed for mad shopping when you are desperate to buy something. in your panic, you mistake their monstrousness for "that's differennt and unusual, just what I need." You bring it home, then get ready for the event, realise its shit but not much you can do and spend the day avoiding cameras. But someone gets a pic of you and the rest of your life is ruined.
Then it goes to a charity shop and the whole awful cycle sgtarts again.

It's not that bad! If you were young and trim I think it would look ok.

This dress was on the Dunnes Stores website this morning - it now seems to have disappeared (wonder why?). If they took off the sleeves and lowered the neckline it might be a nice dress!

It's not THAT bad. It looks shite yes, poorly made and looks like it's hanging off the model like an oversized shirt, but I would be more horrified at a dress that looks like one of those bog-roll holders you see on yer grannie's loo.
