i can't be alone in being grossed out at the prospect of buying and eating one, that someone/several people have peeled back with there bare hands to see if it's a winning egg?

What a stupid idea!

also the people who are opening them are really fucking stupid, since all you need to do is look at the ingredients list which will tell you if it is white chocolate!

wifeyhun · 10/01/2018 20:13

YANBU Cadbury's are spreading illnesses.

Why didn’t I think of that!

heartyrebel · 10/01/2018 20:15

Not in the UK so unaware of this.. is this Cadburys way of getting people to keep buying their terrible cream eggs?

Hippydippydoo · 10/01/2018 20:15

I've been buying the boxes of 5, because im an animal they are less likely to have been tampered with.

Notreallyarsed · 10/01/2018 20:16

They’ve released white ones which mean you win money hearty so a load of dirty buggers people are fiddling with the eggs to see if they’re winners. Envy < not envy!

Rebeccaslicker · 10/01/2018 20:17

Meh, yet another story that shows Kraft/Mondelez really doesn't get the great British public!!

NotAnotherUserName5 · 10/01/2018 20:19

They don't seem to taste as nice the past few years anyway.

Genius idea to check ingredients-clearly not a well thought out marketing plan

Ieatcake · 10/01/2018 20:20

People are disgusting.

Namechangetempissue · 10/01/2018 20:23

Urgh! Funnily enough I did notice the box at the till in the petrol station last night was a bit gone over and grotty with visible chocolate but it didn't go through my mind at the time it was to do with this stupid bloody white egg nonsense. Don't eat them as they take like shit now anyway but still Shock

LineysRunt · 10/01/2018 20:24

I was looking for some bedding today on the Sale shelves, and people had been ripping open the outer packaging of pillows and duvets and fondling them with their creme egg covered grubby fingers.

I'm a pretty hard-core slattern but that was a bit grim.

mirime · 10/01/2018 20:27

Yanbu about people opening them, but yabu to want to eat one as they're foul now!

ToadsforJustice · 10/01/2018 20:29

🤢🤮

Babybauble · 10/01/2018 20:29

You can actually tell by the ingredients, I know a shop owner who's checked every egg!

So glad that creme eggs have never been something that I would eat.

GottaGetThisDone · 10/01/2018 20:31

How on earth can you read the ingredients on a cream egg wrapper anyway? Minutest writing ever

pisacake · 10/01/2018 20:32

kraft can fuck off and die and fuck off and die some more

then they can fuck off again

pisacake · 10/01/2018 20:33

and then fuck off a bit more.

OlennasWimple · 10/01/2018 20:34

It's a brilliant marketing campaign, though. I've heard about it on three different radio shows so far (and I'm not even in the UK!). And all for a top prize of just £2000

MonumentalAlabaster · 10/01/2018 20:35

Do you want them to fuck off pisacake? Grin

pisacake · 10/01/2018 20:38

yes, pls let me know when they have.

maddiemookins16mum · 10/01/2018 20:39

I happened upon a box at the end of an aisle in ASDA today. I picked one up, it's near impossible to read the ingredients, writing too small and the foil wrapping is sort of mangled anyway. I did notice several with the chocolate showing too...urghhhh.

I never purchased it, it was tiny plus I prefer Galaxy truffle eggs anyway (and am on a diet).

GerardNoWay · 10/01/2018 20:41

Saw some in the shop this afternoon and about half of them had been picked open.

Just the thought of people scratching open the packaging with their scabby fingernails and touching the chocolate makes me Envy

goose1964 · 10/01/2018 20:42

There are only approx 350 made. Someone is running a competition to win 1of 100 eggs. Only one in a co-op is worth £2000, there are a few at £1000 in other supermarkets most are either £100 or £200.
