i can't be alone in being grossed out at the prospect of buying and eating one, that someone/several people have peeled back with there bare hands to see if it's a winning egg?

What a stupid idea!

Never liked them anyway.
What do you win?

SilverySurfer · 10/01/2018 20:44

I refuse to buy them because they taste like shit.

Rudgie47 · 10/01/2018 20:45

The staff will have tampered with all of them so theres no chance.

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 10/01/2018 20:46

Aldi ones are much nicer anyway.

Royalfuckup · 10/01/2018 20:47

First one found by a nursery worker today

VanillaSugar · 10/01/2018 20:48

Is anyone actually buying these eggs?

RedToothBrush · 10/01/2018 20:50

This is just a con because sales were down last year, cos they changed the recipe and made them smaller and shitter.

Bring back the old eggs!

MonumentalAlabaster · 10/01/2018 20:50

When I was a child I loved them.
Then I had one a couple of years ago and it was horrible.

The80sweregreat · 10/01/2018 20:55

I bet the winning eggs are in easter egg packaging.
They were always gross. Even more so now.

MonumentalAlabaster · 10/01/2018 20:55

When I was a little girl my mother would only let us buy wrapped sweets, not loose ones for hygiene reasons. It has lasted to this day - my children take the piss out of me because I won't have pick n mix at the cinema and taunt me by saying "look mum!" as they put one in their mouths! I shall be alerting them all to this Crème Egg Horror Story

yrhengi · 10/01/2018 20:55

Willy Wonka is turning in his grave.

Queentitansgo · 10/01/2018 20:59

It’s a stupid idea. Surely all shop owners will check the ingredient list themselves? And no one will buy the eggs that have been tampered with. I suspect whoever came up with idea didn’t consider the ingredient angle.

GabsAlot · 10/01/2018 21:04

since the r4ecipe changed ive stopped buying them

thank god by the sounds of it

Aworldofmyown · 10/01/2018 21:05

I say this every year, but I used to adore creme eggs. They are bloody horrible now Sad

Ansumpasty · 10/01/2018 21:06

They had to do something to get people talking about them and buying them as the chocolate now tastes like cheap advent calendar chocolate.
Now it's cheap chocolate with meff's finger nail marks in

heartyrebel · 10/01/2018 21:15

Haha this could backfire terribly for them. Even more unsold eggs than before

LoudestRoar · 10/01/2018 21:15

Forget the white eggs, I need a reeses peanut butter egg...

SimonBridges · 10/01/2018 21:15

This is the first I’ve heard of it!

Growingboys · 10/01/2018 21:17

I've stopped buying them since Kraft changed the recipe.

Bloody yanks ruining our lovely chocs.

Lynnm63 · 10/01/2018 21:23

I no longer buy creme eggs, terrys chocolate orange or toblerone since Mondalez got their paws on them. They taste rank. Bloody Yanks coming over here ruining our chocolate.

agentdaisy · 10/01/2018 21:27

I used to love creme eggs but they're utter shite since kraft took over. Dd loves them the heathen so I'll only be buying the one in the boxes for her. No way do I want her eating ones that people have scratched part of the wrapper off with their filthy nails, makes me feel sick just thinking about it 🤮.

ThisLittleKitty · 10/01/2018 21:33

First I've heard of it aswell.

And I can't taste the different from before so I must be weird.

Mrsknackered · 10/01/2018 23:18

thislittlekitty it doesn't taste like real chocolate, it's so...fake tasting.

And they're tiny! Could pop one in my mouth whole easy peasy.

OutToGetYou · 10/01/2018 23:24

Years ago I worked on the Cadbury site and we could buy huge bags of Creme Eggs for 50p, because they had their wrappers slightly squiffy ad a bit of choc showing.

And, of course, all other things Cadbury.

I miss that shop!

Needmoresleep · 10/01/2018 23:28

Sales are down because I stopped eating them. They taste weirdly oily now.

And why are they promoting Easter eggs in January?
