Interview tomorrow but I'm broken

I've got a big interview tomorrow for something I've always wanted to do since graduating.

I've prepared but I just feel so anxious. I feel like they'll laugh at me for thinking I even have a chance. I can't stand my voice and I feel like I'm rambling.

I feel broken this week. I've had a hellish time since breaking up with my narc ex, being sucked back in and then dropped again this weekend. I feel like crying all the time, I can't eat properly. And the worst thing is I can't speak to anyone about it because they're all saying they knew he would leave me again.

I feel like when i go tomorrow they'll just knock me back and so there's no point. Aibu to ring and cancel ? 😔

Bloody well done for going. If it doesn't happen, then it wasn't meant to be, but next time you'll have more confidence and you'll be great.

Well done for going! Even if you don't get it, just think what you could have done on a good day, and go for the next one with huge confidence in yourself!

Fantastic news, I'm so pleased to see you went through with it, OP. Please allow yourself to realise what a massive step you've taken into the 'life well lived' that a PP described. Whether or not you got the job, you deserve to be celebrate clearing a massive hurdle by getting yourself to the interview. I'm sure there will be a positive outcome, if not on this job, for another in the not very distant future. Congratulations!

Amazing that you were one of such a short shortlist!

Doesn't matter if it didn't go perfectly - it might have gone better for you than it did for the other applicants and if someone did do a better job I bet they're not in the position you're in at the moment with your personal life.

It's all experience and every time you push yourself out of your comfort zone and do something scary it helps to take the edge off and pushes your threshold further and further

Well I didn't get it. Lovely lady from the panel rang me before and spoke to me for about half an hour. She said they had made a pre-emptive decision on the 2nd candidate but that I made the decision hard. As only one post had to give to most experienced but keep going and I'll get there and that i had the genuine and approachable nature required for this line of work.

Whilst I am so, so sorry you didn't get it, that is fantastic feedback. You are absolutely pursuing the right path so I am sure your job is out there.

Have a little cry, treat yourself to something nice this weekend and then on Monday , dust yourself off and try again.
