Hi all, very long time lurker, first time poster because something is really playing on my mind.

Normally very very careful with contraception, but I'm worried because of what happened a week ago.

Me and DP were messing around and the long and short of it is he "pleasured me digitally" (snort) with "spermy fingers". God sorry for the TMI.

I checked the app i use to track my period and that was apparently in my fertile window.

Can you put my mind at rest - its unlikely for that to cause pregnancy, right? But how unlikely? Like super unlikely or just unlikely?

Well, period is due on the 19th, I'll give it until the 21st before feeling worried!

I've one friend conceived no 4 AFTER BOTH she and dh sterilised  (no 3 was post vasectomy which was re-done) they now use condoms combined with careful timing so we'll see.

Bloody hell! I'll have some of her spare fertile juju if there's any going around - we've reached the end of the road with IVF and miscarriage, unless we can find £200,000 for surrogacy (or someone wants to lend me their womb for 9 months to cook one of our embryos for us). I'll gladly swap some of my barren-ness if she wants to avoid pregnancy!!

I had the tingling nipples, which only happened when my first was conceived. Followed by sore breasts. Deffo get extra discharge too. I also had a funny taste in my mouth. A bit metallic. My second and third children were not planned. I was never great at taking the pill. I knew with both of them that I was pregnant. I could just tell. But no sore breasts with number 3 for some reason.

I had symptoms at day 4 post ovulation for all of my pregnancies. I always knew before I could test.

Swollen boobs, strong dislike of coffee, indigestion, metallic taste and weirdly bleeding gums.

Many tests you can use at day 10 successfully

As for symptoms you can get a lot of mentally induced one amazing what the brain can do to make you believe something but true physiological symptoms can't occur 4 days after ovulation as the hormones that causes them are not released until implementation and that takes about 4-5 days. It then takes a few days for the hormones to start releasing and the levels to reach a certain stage for symptoms to start so at best 10 days after ovulation exceptionally maybe 7 but certainly not 4!

Well yesterday my face just exploded into spots 😣😣 I don't know if that means anything but I normally get one juicy spot 3 or 4 days before my period. Now I have about 10 non juicy spots all over my face. Maybe its just unhealthy living over christmas rising to the surface?

Hey OP, how long until you can test?

This video (miracle of creation - You tube) suggests that the jet blasting of sperm up there at the start is pretty crucial but you never know, some of them are determined buggers.

God, this is the kind of stuff that used to terrify me as a teenager! I’d get a first response and test a couple of days before your periods due. (And then test compulsively, daily, until your period arrives. But that might just be me!)

Hey! I'm due on Friday so i won't test until the Monday after, dont want to go through the early testing and potentially inaccurate outcomes thing.

I feel quite confident I'm not pregnant though as I don't have any symptoms and I've been over on the conception subsection where everyone is swapping symptoms during their "2 week wait" and people are experiencing things like spotting, cramping, funny tastes etc.
