• interference in elections - sanctions have been issued but not carried out due to Trump's reluctance
• taking appropriate measures to safeguard elections has been flagged up by intelligence communities as an urgent priority but it has not been acknowledged as true, let alone dealt with by Trump
• Russia are going to spy on US Senators. What actions do we think Trump will take?

I think Haiti had had billions in aid over the years not including the $15bn given to it after the 2010 earthquake. There’s been a lot of charity too.

A few billion is a drop in the ocean compared to centuries of systematic oppression and plunder. Quite frankly it's not even the bare minimum we should be doing to even begin to repay what was taken from them.

Juliesaway oh yes he did. Read the clip below. There is a 5 minute interview with this Senator who details all that Trump said. He didn't just say it in passing. He repeatedly said it and whether Haiti has had $$$$ in aid in the past, is this how you refer to other countries when you're the POTUS?

If he hadn't said it, the GOP legislators in the meeting would have been the first to rush to the PR podium to say so. The fact that they are remaining silent speaks volumes about the truth AND about their own principles. They prefer to remain silent and be able to further the GOP agenda than to denounce Scrotus as a racist.

As far as recording all WH meetings, I highly doubt it. I'm pretty sure that subsequent POTUS learnt that valuable lesson from Nixon/Watergate! IF a meeting were to be recorded, it would be with complete knowledge of all attendees AND those who say they were there (on both sides) would be shouting "There's tape!!" from the rooftops right now.

For those on the thread from elsewhere remember "NAAALT". We are fighting. We understand that it was complaisance and apathy that allowed this disaster. We are determined that it will never happen again and we are working to (preferably) get him thrown out of office, or at the very least get him rendered impotent as a result of the midterms. We won't be able to shut his fucking mouth, but we will be able to neuter him.
