Lake District last week in July. 6 berth mobile home £450.

MsGameandWatching · 06/01/2018 22:37

I've been to Dubai in May too. Still pretty hot tbh, you'll probably not want to be out in it between 11 and 3/4 but it's bearable.

pinkginanyone · 06/01/2018 22:45

Caribbean cruise me DH & 3 teenagers 12 days all inclusive in a suite £7600 including flights. This is our first holiday in 3 years and our last for the next 5 at least!

Ylvamoon · 06/01/2018 22:46

£850 2 weeks camping in Germany. £150 ferry crossing. Plus petrol and food. Should be around £1600 for 2adults, 2DC, 1 dog.

saladdays66 · 06/01/2018 22:49

Luxury SC villa in Spain plus car hire and flights - £5k

How the hell do people find nice cottages in Cornwall for £700 in the summer???

elliejjtiny · 06/01/2018 22:50

We gave up on trying to book a holiday. Couldn't afford it and our autistic child wouldn't have coped. Going to use the money we had saved on some day trips.

Ylvamoon · 06/01/2018 22:53

elliejjtiny - we do this every other year. It's great and you can see /visit local places you didn't even know existed!

Notmyideamovingon · 06/01/2018 23:01

£890 mobile home park near bude seven nightsfor one adult two kids. We usually do eurocamp for two weeks circa 2k booked early with discounts but unaffordable since d"p" left

Oldraver · 06/01/2018 23:04

Just over £1000 for a cottage for 4 (probably only three of us going, maybe joined by DS1 for a day or so) in the New Forest end of July for a week.

It only cost us £660 last year for end of August

Newyearnewyew · 06/01/2018 23:26

Not going anywhere this summer as plan to go away in the other' holidays instead.

However if ten youth hostel have 25% off last minute so I'm interested in Cornwall if the right offer comes along.

Newyearnewyew · 06/01/2018 23:31

Check out long haul here as very very good threads on calif there. I would love to do it in March 2019

I did 2 weeks for £900 two summers ago 😺. Cottage owned by friends family with informal letting. It was brilliant.

AhhhhThatsBass · 06/01/2018 23:46

We don't really go away in the summer, preferring to go away in the colder months. So we aren’t doing 2 weeks in Tanzania in February (2 adults, 1child, not expecting much change from around £8k. Dubai in half term, half board £5300. I’m sure holidays used to be cheaper pre children.

Ratinthehat · 06/01/2018 23:47

Going for a sun weekend for about £100 for the 4 of us (me and three children)

jocktamsonsbairn · 06/01/2018 23:52

£1500 for 3 of us in Greek Islands, self catering in summer, £700 for a week AI in Turkey in Oct.

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 06/01/2018 23:55

2 weeks in Spain - around 4k - that includes 3 adults and in fact DD seems to count as an adult too at -6 so 4 adults

rogue8 · 07/01/2018 00:29

Budget flights to Milan are cheap - in fact, just checked and prices today are cheaper than when I booked them on the day of release.
Our plan is to drive to Malcesine via Sirmione and Lazise and stay in a hotel near the cable car up to Monte Baldo.
Then we drive round the northern half of the lake to Toscolano Maderno via Riva del Garda and Limone sul Garda for our week's stay here which was a MN recommendation from a previous thread.

FlouncyDoves · 07/01/2018 08:05

Rebecca they don’t, or if they do then they’re far from the sea. In our village, two sandy beaches in it, nice holiday cottages with three bedrooms cost the best part of £1500 for the week. You can less nicely kitted out ones for £1k or be further from the sea for £700. But why would you?

NewYearSunshine · 07/01/2018 19:45

rogue8 I've stayed in that apartment, 2016 and 2017!!! I posted about it being good value on here!!!

TheIrregularChoice · 07/01/2018 20:01

About £520 for a week self catering at Butlins in Minehead. Two adults and two small children, last week of July.

midnightmisssuki · 07/01/2018 20:04

About 7k-ish for a trip to Asia.

SoThisisMe · 07/01/2018 20:16

£425 for a week in a beach chalet Somerset, mid August. Sleeps 5 but will be 4 of us - me, DP and 2 DC.

Also going to Northumberland for a week at Easter, 8 of us in a 4 bed house, our share under £400.

Will probably also spend a week with family in north west Scotland at some point in August - free other than spends and thank you gifts.

rogue8 · 07/01/2018 20:49

NewYearSunshine Thank you for your recommendation then. I’m really looking forward to staying there. 😀 The fount of knowledge that is MN comes trumps again.

Sunflowers79 · 07/01/2018 20:55

£1k for a week in Wales and £1200 for a week in Yorkshire. 2 adults, 3 kids (doesn’t include petrol or food as s/c)

mumontherun14 · 09/01/2018 21:44

SoThisIsMe I love Northumberland -one of our favourite holiday spots. Enjoy!🌞😃🍷 x
