I priced all of them but they were extortionate during July/Aug. Think it was around 4500-5500 for 2 weeks. You could just about go to Florida for that price. We are staying at Dorada Palace hotel it's only 10mins from the park. It gets decent reviews and I've had 2 different friends stay there and both liked it. A pal of mine from work stayed in the PA resort and got it for a week for 1500 but that was in early Sept as she has a toddler. No use for us with the school holidays. She did say the hotel was lovely. Think it was the Caribe one. Look at On The Beach they have all the PA hotels X

wifeyhun · 06/01/2018 13:18

We need to buy Disney tickets.

We are also going to buy a Go LA card as that includes Universal, Knotts Berry and lots of other attractions.

mumontherun14 · 06/01/2018 13:20

Is that Cuba price flying from London? You do seem to get much better deals flying from there and can be worth adding on a transfer x

LardLizard · 06/01/2018 13:47

Week in a chalet on a haven park, four of us with entertainment passes first week of the summer holidays £590.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 06/01/2018 13:57

£700 flights (low-cost airline), £900 accommodation (self-catering on an agriturismo with a pool), £200 car hire for a week - 2 adults, 2 DC in Italy in August. So £1800 before food and spends.

mumontherun14 · 06/01/2018 13:57

For Barcelona you can either get bus or train from Salou it's only about an hour away. I've done it before on bus with toddler and pray and it was fine. Now my 2 are older it will be no problem on train or bus. We are actually flying into Barcelona and getting train to Salou. We are going with my inlaws they've done that a few times and say it's easy enough the train station is in the airport terminal. Hotel is 10 mins walk from PA. Another few I looked at were Golden Avenida Suites (Thomson) and I think it was Sol Daurada (jet 2). Friends of mine have stayed at both and liked them. I wanted to get an apartment for more space but still have the food /entertainment with the hotel x

Lemons1571 · 06/01/2018 13:59

Greek island for a fortnight, 2 adults 3 kids, duplex apartment in a hotel with water slides, self catering, £2860 with Thomson.
Though I booked on release day which was last April so 15 months in advance, hence the good price. Couldn’t afford it now.

randomthoughts · 06/01/2018 14:04

Greek Island, 2 weeks July/August, 2 adults, 2 children school

Flights - £200 (using avios)
Accommodation £2,400, 2 bed serviced apartment on small complex (14 apartments), shared pool and hot tubs (looks beautiful)

We may hire a car for a few days, plus taxis back from restaurants and meals out.

NewYearSunshine · 06/01/2018 14:04

2 adults and 2 children, 13 nights in Tenerife. Rented a private villa with its own pool, car for the duration. Price including 2 hold bags, airport parking and insurance £1700

CorbynsBumFlannel · 06/01/2018 14:05

2 weeks cruising the med in August. About 6 grand for 4 of us but all food included and it’s a bit of a treat ticking off lots of places we’ve wanted to go. We’ll have to do something much cheaper next year!

Faintlinesquints · 06/01/2018 14:06

Just over 3k for 12 nights all inclusive 5* turkey resort for 5 of us.

Vanessatiger · 06/01/2018 14:09

It costs £1000 pp for three of us to fly across to Europe, then baby about £120, we usually upgrade to biz class using points and sometimes we have to buy the points.
We will see family, stay with them, then proceed to somewhere warm and nice in a 4/5stars hotel at £1500-2000 for the week, then spending money (eating out, renting a car, shopping etc perhaps another £1000).
So our partial summer holiday costs about £6000 just for the 4 of us. Then we’ll also do another one with DSSs so another £5-6000 I suspect.

Atticusss · 06/01/2018 14:12

Last week of summer holidays, 10 days all inclusive to Bulgaria for 5, just under 2,000! Water park on site, private beach, villa with sea view. It took an awful long time fiddling with search engines and different holiday sites to find something all inclusive over a week for under 2,500. It's really something you have to spend time doing if you are on a budget. My advice is use private browsers. Otherwise the price often changes when you go to book.

Atticusss · 06/01/2018 14:21

streetlife70 also intrigued at Cuba for that price all inclusive. Where and through who? I want to keep my eye out for next year!

DeliveredByKiki · 06/01/2018 14:32

We live in California so our annual summer holiday is usually going home TK see Family and friends. Flights alone Around £1500, we stay for free but always end up spending a good £2000 over 3weeks which is ridiculous, don’t know how that happens!

This year though we’re going to Hawaii for spring break, flights cost more than going to the UK and despite doing air bnb as cheap as poss with another family, it’s already cost us $5000 just for travel and accommodation!!

FlouncyDoves · 06/01/2018 15:13

Two months in our holiday home in Cornwall. Cost is the mortgage.

user1466690252 · 06/01/2018 15:18

DH and I, 3 nights dubai, 7 nights mauritius. 5k. Then we will take the children to disneyland Paris for a long weekend, they have some great deals on at the moment.

Unnoticed · 06/01/2018 15:23

Far East - 6 people - 15K for 12 days. And two 4 day camping trips at £25 per night in Wales.

MsGameandWatching · 06/01/2018 15:25

We have our main holiday at Easter or two one week holidays over February or October half term. If we do go away in the summer hols then it’s a city break and I book flights the second they come out. We went to Berlin for five days last August for around £700 - flights and four star hotel in the city centre, breakfast included, then probably about £600 spending money on top of of that. I only plan holidays once I see there’s a flight sale on. I’d never pay full whack. I also have no issues with tacking an extra day or two on either side of the holiday to bring the prices of flights down.

devondream · 06/01/2018 15:29
