Posting for traffic! Grin

Anyone in the firing line?

We're set to get absolutely clobbered.

Every business and school called to shut yesterday afternoon which is unusual for here, we're used to weather.

Last big storm we had in October we were without power for 7 days. But now we have his polar front coming on the back of it where it's going to be about -30. Sad

The next week is going to be a bloody struggle that's for sure.

I am in South West England and you’ve made me realise how daft I am for worrying about the shed roof in the strong winds we have right now. Sending you warm wishes and hugs. This storm will pass.....

Hope everyone is doing ok this morning (evening?) and that imyourgirl didn't have to resort to the 40 year old port.

imyourgirl · 05/01/2018 10:57

I didn't drink the port! We didn't even lose power!!!!

No idea how much snow there is or what damage until daylight. Tempted to take ds out of pre school and go skiing!

Although in reality it's probably going to take us hours to shovel the cars out and get the road cleared.

Definitely go skiing.

Skowvegas · 05/01/2018 13:28

Today is a perfect ski day! Sadly school is open here, otherwise I'd be tempted to go. They didn't even do a delayed start, so I wasn't able to have my teenagers shovel before they left.

I reckon we got about a foot of snow.
