The more I read on MN, the more I think lots of people are just plain weird.

But what's defined as normal?

SmallBee · 31/12/2017 16:32

I've been told I'm weird, but I don't cause drama or bother people and I have lovely people in my life. I like my life so I'm happy to be weird.

MissBax · 31/12/2017 16:34

Yep. The world is full of all sorts of oddities

Well I know I am. But is it a bad thing?

ScreamingValenta · 31/12/2017 16:36

In what sort of ways, crunchy? I'm interested to know what threads have prompted this.

Sparklesocks · 31/12/2017 16:36

Probably - you’re probably a bit weird too OP! We all have our oddities. It all depends on what you think normal is.

Craftylittlething · 31/12/2017 16:37

I agree, I spend too much time reading aibu and generally feel that there's nowt queerer than folk after reading

lifeisazebracrossing · 31/12/2017 16:38

If you’re going to be weird, be confident about it.

Or

You have to be odd to be number 1.

Everyone is!

SwimmingIsMyLife · 31/12/2017 16:39

I really weird and just pretend to be normal. Whatever that is.

Actually I think I’m not very nice either and just pretend to be.

restbiterepeat · 31/12/2017 16:39

I'm not weird, everyone else is.

MissionItsPossible · 31/12/2017 16:40

I like MN (Well, AIBU) because it's a whole weird world to me, where strange and impossible (in my day to day life) things occur and people post them and the fact that the next majority of posters never question them and post support or encourage their validity is amusing to me!

crunchymint · 31/12/2017 16:41

Mission I feel the same.

OP posts:
lljkk · 31/12/2017 16:41

I'm on the weirdo bench, too.
Very true I don't understand most people, but I only learnt that from online (esp. MN).

KiteMarked · 31/12/2017 16:44

I'll be honest, relating to people doesn't come easily to me. Reading MN has actually helped me socialise better because I've realised we're all a bit odd and I'm definitely not the only one.

I've also learned how to be a better host and future mil. ;)

Eltonjohnssyrup · 31/12/2017 16:48

I love 'em. Weirder the better. World would be a boring place otherwise.

GinisLife · 31/12/2017 16:54

You're not wrong !!! The older I get the weirder I find folks are. I long ago came to the conclusion there was only me who was normal ! 😂😂. (And folk on MN take the Biscuit)

MissionItsPossible · 31/12/2017 16:55

Crunchy It's not all real. There's a world away from MN. Where people won't judge you for BU for a minor inconvenience that in real life nobody would make a murmur about Grin

crunchymint · 31/12/2017 16:57

Mission I know my friends are not like this, or they are and just hiding it well from me Grin

OP posts:
clumsyduck · 31/12/2017 16:58

If they are all weird though maybe they are normal and your the wierdo ?!
Nah seriously though I get you! But then I struggle to relate with a lot of people so maybe I'm the problem !

crunchymint · 31/12/2017 17:05

Grin Maybe I am the weird one. After all I don't change mt sheets and towels every day, or once every 6 months, and don't clean my house so it is a show home every day or live in a hovel.
Everything seems to be such extremes on here with everything.

OP posts:
clumsyduck · 31/12/2017 17:07

Can you feed a family of 8 for a week on one chicken ?? Because if not you are definitely weird Grin

crunchymint · 31/12/2017 17:09

Nah I spend £300 a week on food and don't buy have enough to feed DP me and 1 small toddler, so we always have to buy take away by the end of the week.

OP posts:
GerdaLovesLili · 31/12/2017 17:11

You're right. Either that or they can't read, or don't care what personal information they share with whom. I'm not sure what's worse.

Now I know I'm weird. But I'm not the right kind of weird for MN.

Rebeccaslicker · 31/12/2017 17:12

Takes one to know one, OP Wink
