I started at about 11/12 and had my last period when I was 42. I’ve always been v irregular and light.

worlybear · 01/01/2018 08:38

Started at 12. Menopause at 52. Another fan of black kohosh here!

Onedayhey · 01/01/2018 08:41

All over at 45, thank god.

LizzieSiddal · 01/01/2018 08:52

I started at 14 and am still having very regular periods at 52.
I’m fed up with it all, athough I haven’t got many perimenopausal symptoms, I do get awful PMT.

CarysMa · 01/01/2018 09:01

47 and still get one every mpnth but sometimes very heavy and sometimes v light. No night sweats. That sounds awful. Does that happen when periods stop?

CarysMa · 01/01/2018 09:02

I was nearly 14 when i got 1st period.

Oblomov18 · 01/01/2018 09:51

Told by GP I was peri-menopausal at 42, a few years ago.
Now having the most horrendous hot flushes during the day and at night. I am gasping for breath and at night drenched. Male GP suggested citalopram, but I didn't want an AD.
I'm going to go and see another GP soon.
My periods are lighter and less regular, but they were always quite light and short anyway.

busyboysmum · 02/01/2018 13:32

OK I posted earlier in this thread that I was 48 and regular as clockwork every 24 days. Well....my period tracker ap tells me I am 13 days late which has never happened ever. I am definitely not pregnant so I am guessing this is the beginning of it. Excitingly brought to you by mumsnet 😂😅😅

romany4 · 02/01/2018 14:01

I'm 45 and used to be regular as clockwork. Bang on 28 days every month.
These past 12 months I've fluctuated between 22 and 30 days, my skin is absolutely shit and have awful mood swings. And periods are heavy and painful but always have been. Can't wait for them to finish
