To have only just realised I could be pregnant

Posting for traffic. Name says it all.

DP and I have only DTD once since DS was born, about 2 months ago due to combination of him working away and cosleeping making it difficult. We didnt use protection as I'm EBF and it was kind of a 'fuck it' moment.

Last two days have had awful gas, bloating and weird metallic taste in my mouth. Was burping endlessly in the car and DP said 'haha wow the only time I've seen you this bad is when you were pregnant'. It was just a passing comment but thinking about it I do feel exactly as I did a year ago when in first trimester.

Oh God I'm pregnant aren't I?! I need to take a test but it's 1am and I'm panicking. 5mo is asleep next to me.

Don't even know what I'd do. I'd love another baby but how the hell would we cope with a just 1 year old and a newborn? Oh lordy.

SP!

SimonBridges · 30/12/2017 23:50

I hope you get the answer you want op.

ActualMermaid · 30/12/2017 23:58

Good luck, OP! No matter the outcome, you will be able to handle it, I’m sure. Smile

ferriswheel · 31/12/2017 00:03

I had a new born, a one year old and a two year old. You'll be fine! Good luck.

DinoMummy26 · 31/12/2017 00:11

Good luck! Whatever the outcome you'll be fine 👍

MamaBearto2 · 31/12/2017 00:11

You will be fine OP. There's only a year between my brother and I. Always had a lovely close relationship

notapizzaeater · 31/12/2017 00:12

11 months between me and my sister, mum thought you couldn't get pregnant whilst breast feeding .....

hungryhippo90 · 31/12/2017 00:21

Placemarking, I'm sorry but I can't wait until the 1st/2nd of January! You need a psychic reading or something... oh the suspense! :-)

NameChangeSoSisCantFindMeAhhhh · 31/12/2017 00:54

notapizzaeater midwife told me you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding! Then a couple of weeks ago I found out actually you can.

I've made the excuse that I don't like any of the drinks we have brought 3 boxes full of stuff I picked in the first place and am driving an hour to the ASDA to buy a test. Need to know if I can drink NYE or not!

Need wine for the stress.

Baby did a monster poo before and was just thinking HOW could I have sorted that if I had a newborn as well?!

How do people manage? Honestly you're all amazing. I muddle my way through with just one!

22 months between 1st &2nd
16 months between 2nd & 3rd
12 months between 3rd & 4th

The way i saw it was all bottles, nappy changing ect were done & dusted at roughly the same time.

Good luck with the test op Flowers

TabbyTigger · 31/12/2017 01:12

I was the fifth of 9 and our ages went something like:
Oldest (12 months) 2nd (13 months) 3rd (20 months) 4th (11 months) 5th (12 months) 6th (16 months) 7th (15 months) 8th (13 months) 9th
And I can honestly say it was total mayhem (probably because of the 9, not the age gap though) but a lot of fun, and my parents obviously liked us all being close in age. I personally loved it - friends and siblings became the same thing, and we shared friends growing up and played the same games/ watched the same films/ read he same books etc. We shared everything.

I was even in the same school year as one sibling because our 11 months fell in the same year!! People used to assume we were twins, which was great for me because I was the younger one Grin

Stolenchoccies · 31/12/2017 01:13

Good luck

I presumed OP meant that was the excuse she had come up with for driving tomorrow. Well, later today, as it's after midnight.

Must admit I would have made an excuse to go straight to the shop as soon as the realisation hit. But then I was a pregnancy test junkie!

NewNameWhoDis · 31/12/2017 01:55

22 months between 1st &2nd
16 months between 2nd & 3rd
12 months between 3rd & 4th

Fucking hell!! That would be lovely though to have them all so cose in age.

Cantchooseaname · 31/12/2017 02:00

Midwife told me the same. I was a bit suspicious- however breastfeeding all day and night was a form of contraception on its own.
Hope it’s the result you want.

Candyfloss1122 · 31/12/2017 02:28

My dd will be 14 months when ds arrives in April, if you are pregnant you will be fine!

LolitaLempicka · 31/12/2017 02:42

Year between mine, and it was planned! Best decision ever!

Themiscyra · 31/12/2017 06:36

In Ireland I knew a family of 13. They had 1 every year for the first 6 years.
Then they got a tv and had one every 2 years after that.

AppleKatie · 31/12/2017 07:49

Hope you’re ok OP.

TheEagle · 31/12/2017 07:51

Is that supposed to be funny? Hmm

Ugh, bold fail!
