Old Bannon ally Miller rips him on @CNNSotu for “grotesque”quotes in Wolff book.
Is there no honor among Steves?

"Fire and Fury" may be personally humiliating for its subjects, but it is also politically useful for Trump and the GOP

From February of last year but what a hideous man. I can see how he fits right in with the Trumpers.

Donald Trump and his new attorney, Charles Harder, have a lot in common. The swagger, the bluster, the lack of previous experience in their current work and, perhaps more than anything, a love-hate relationship with the media.

It makes me feel quite chipper whenever I read about his choices when it comes to legal representation. Smile

'That meteorologist who invented the term “bomb cycle” to describe the mushroom cloud of weather hell that’s been unleashed over the East Coast this weekend surely had no idea that he also coined the ideal term to describe the perfect storm of political and existential chaos currently swirling around 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in our nation’s capital.'

(The Hill) WikiLeaks publish a full-text version of Fire and Fury.
Note: the article does contain a Twitter link to the Google document. I’m not certain if it is still active; I can only assume it is, and if you choose to download, you do so at your own risk of course Smile

Wow, Wikileaks posts PDF of Wolff's book! DRM-stripped PDFs of new book are common -- but has Wikileaks posted before? No new public info here, seems blatant attempt to hurt profits.

He is not holding up under the pressure of the job. This is so alarming and so many power hungry folks are putting country last!

“..starting his official day much later than he did in the early days..., often around 11am, and holding far fewer meetings.” www.axios.com/newsletters/axios-sneak-peek-a7c58480-bc9e-4580-93c1-6358a6102b93.html?chunk=0&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twsocialshare&utm_campaign=organic#story0

On this day in 1862, 38 Dakota Natives, on orders from President Lincoln, were hanged in Mankato, Minnesota, in the largest mass execution in US history. One week before the Emancipation Proclamation, Lincoln committed a massive act of genocidal racism.

This is a perfect Freudian slip. He typed “consensual” instead of the original word, “consequential”. Grin (Sorry the tweets are back to front)

This is from Fox (it’s from someone’s else’s unrelated tweet). I’ve posted it as I find it an utterly divisive topic, and sickening that Fox should choose to stir racial fractures in society. ‘Hard-working people don’t need racial lectures’ - aren’t you giving them one? This very point is hitting the Trump playbook exactly.

Plus I can’t stand Tucker’s face. Honestly, he looks like he’s been given some really difficult maths to work out in his head - 4x3 - and has been put on the spot by his teacher.

Number 3 in GingerIvy’s Amy Siskind/Axios.com link above is interesting - details of ‘private’ discussions at Camp David of just what Trump and GOP think they can/can’t get done this year.

Anyway...

Today was supposed to be the great day for Trump’s “Corrupt Media” Awards.
And many are already campaigning to get one, from Colbert to Bee, including Noah:

I would really love to read some of the personal messages that'll get signed in that card!!

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 08/01/2018 11:52

"Oh glorious leader's progeny whom one day we pray will rule over us and our descendants, how grateful we are that our eyes are blessed by your visage and our ears by your wise words. We kiss the beloved fox that humbly brings you to us and thank The Giant Orange With Tiny Hands for allowing us to bask in your glory".

And there are probably some along the lines of "Fuck off you twat" Grin

I am really not enjoying this supplication of Bannon that we're witnessing. Not that I'm a fan but it seems to me that if Bannon is having to walk back his assertions and publicly display his abject humiliation (though I note he hasn't said any of his comments are untrue, just that he didn't mean Don Jr but only Manafort was the traitor), this sends a signal to anyone who might have tried to cut away that it might not go as planned and that Trump is the chosen one that the base and the money are currently serving. It's not encouraging for anyone would-be dissenters.

Miller continues to be belligerent:

Two sources close to the situation told Business Insider that after Stephen Miller’s CNN taping was done this morning, Miller was politely asked to leave several times.

He ignored those requests.

Security was apparently called and he was escorted out.
