To wonder how Ive gone this long without having an electric blanket.

Got it for xmas and its the best thing ever, although I never want to leave my bed again. Grin
Minus 10 outside currently but Im so cosy.

I suffer from lots of aches and pains and this is easing them so much.

Has anyone discovered anything this year that they could now no longer be without?

BodyPump. I LOVE it. Finally found exercise I really enjoy.

85% dark choc. One square stops my choc cravings in their tracks.

Urban Decay Naked 2 pallette. Suits my cool tones so well.

Uniqlo. Best quality basics I’ve ever come across.

Oh and getting dog food delivered in bulk - I get home from work and it's there in the garage amazing!

LightastheBreeze · 29/12/2017 19:52

Cordless Dyson
Heated front windscreen on car
Parking sensors

I have had the electric blanket for years and don’t know how people manage without

My lovely cleaner

frieda909 · 29/12/2017 20:08

Oh yes! My cleaner. She is AMAZING.

I have no problem cleaning up after myself but she comes every few weeks and whenever I walk through the door after one of her visits I feel absolutely ecstatic. It’s just so nice to know that the flat gets a really good clean every now and then.

My abusive ex was an absolute slob who started making a shitload of mess the second he walked in the door, yet he was too ‘proud’ to ageee to a cleaner. My wonderful current partner is SO good around the house anyway but having a cleaner also means that any arguments we might have had about cleaning are well and truly avoided!

Ohyesiam · 29/12/2017 20:24

My fitness pal, plus swimming and The Blood Sugar Diet. Bye bye 43 unwanted llbs( though I think I've just welcomed about 7 of them back in the last week).

Curly girl method. I have pretty hair again!

incinemasnow · 29/12/2017 20:43

Also trello (thanks mumsnet)
My heated towel rail
Waze
Air b'n'b
Stocard
I'm sure there's others as well......

Amazon Prime has been a game changer in our household ever since it was introduced - but what now makes it even more indispensable is click and collect

Pretty much all my Amazon deliveries go to my local corner shop - which is open late and I can pick up whenever suits. I'd say at least once a week I'll pick something up on my walk home from the station that's been delivered there.

Tbh the increasing option of click and collect by online retailers in general. I can get most stuff delivered to various different local mini marts, which makes online shopping a breeze. Before I used to have to get lots of stuff delivered to work and schlepp home on the tube. Also makes returns a breeze as no need to go to the post office - can drop in returns at evenings and all weekend

The increasing prevalence of iZettle and PayPal readers by merchants who were precious cash only, so I can pay contactless and don't have to get cash out especially

bananafish81 · 29/12/2017 20:49

Magnifying mirror - who knew I was sprouting before having this.

Feather topper

bananafish81 · 30/12/2017 08:54

wheely it's like uber or Deliveroo for dry cleaning / laundry

Get dry cleaning done and shirts washed and ironed, 48h turnaround. Book a collection + delivery slot with the app, they will collect and drop off any time from 7am to 11pm. No more schlepping to the dry cleaner and stuff getting held hostage because it's only open during work hours.

Actually if anyone wants to try it, I think I have a referral code which means you get £25 for free and I get the same, so if anyone wants to try it, pm me!

(I don't work for them, I'm just newly converted and very impressed!)

Power bank for my phone
Having my hair blow dried at the salon only
Finding a salon that does BOTH hair and nails. At the same time. No more wasted time going in 2 place for ages

Gruach · 30/12/2017 14:39
