To wonder how Ive gone this long without having an electric blanket.

Got it for xmas and its the best thing ever, although I never want to leave my bed again. Grin
Minus 10 outside currently but Im so cosy.

I suffer from lots of aches and pains and this is easing them so much.

@finkanomics - S.Town!

Nomoresugar · 01/01/2018 17:27

Got an IUD inserted in August. Best thing ever. Won't be taking it out for a very long time.

Straycatblue · 01/01/2018 18:11

I was just telling my boyfriend about the light-up toilet bowl and he had pressed Confirm on his Amazon Prime order before I even finished showing him the YouTube video grin

Theres so many things I want to buy since starting this thread but Im broke on account of xmas so they will need to wait, except this surprisingly cheap toilet light! Grin

Soolantra - cured my dreadful rosacea

This is really interesting, the main ingredient ivermectin we use as a horse wormer and leg mite killer. My dad suffers from rosacea so will let him know about this.

@WizardOfToss
Please can someone simply explain, to a dimwit (me) what Alexa does and why it's so good. Would it work in a 300 year old off grid cottage, for example?

Im not really sure myself, I think you do need to have wifi tho , have found this video , you can link it to all sorts of things in your house and make them voice activated and ask it questions.

Straycat yes, it is fairly new research which shows that people suffering with the pauples and pustules associated with rosacea have a significantly higher volume of demodex mites on their skin Envy I have suffered since my late 20s, and finally in my 40s my skin is better. Really disgusting to think that those things have been living on my skin for all that time.

BluebellTheDonkey · 01/01/2018 18:56

I can post pics if you like!

LightastheBreeze · 01/01/2018 19:39

I bought a Dyson fan today from HoF as it was a bit reduced, still expensive though, I see it’s mentioned upthread.

IrkThePurist · 01/01/2018 19:42

Brilliant thread! I'm keeping notes Smile
I have another one, my gardening clogs. Slip 'em on and off to nip out to the bins, and they're sturdy enough to do gardening in.

MynewnameisKy · 01/01/2018 22:32

Oh, Can I add Method cleaning sprays especially these Glass cleaner.

MynewnameisKy · 01/01/2018 22:43

and W5 degreaser from Lidl.

Bumping cus I want to add more to my amazon basket Grin

MrsHathaway · 06/01/2018 09:41

A previous year brought jam spoons to our house. The reduction in crumbs and stickiness was significant.

Just a stainless steel spoon with kind of a kink in its long handle. But oh.

I just wanted to drop in and mention that I got the toilet night light mentioned by so many on this thread previously and it's fab. Now I don't have to turn on the bathroom light at night if I need to get up and go.

Windowgazer123 · 06/01/2018 10:01

@EnormousDormouse
Please can I ask what credit card have you got? Same as you, I travel a lot (ie. subjected to many many delays). Lounge access helps massively...

Windowgazer123 · 06/01/2018 10:02

@finkanomics Another vote for S-Town.

NewAndOld · 06/01/2018 10:10

Also; a sewing machine. I now love sewing so much that I have bought a lovely digital one (and overlocker, whooo-hooo!) in the sales. Unfortunately I have been so busy since I got it them that I haven't had a chance to try them out. Today might be the day though.

hmmwhatatodo · 06/01/2018 10:31

I bought a method multi purpose spray (pomegranate) and feel quite neutral about it! Wasn’t convinced it cleaned the bathroom sink very well at all. What do you all love about Method?

I was given a pair or rubber gloves from Lakeland (purple with little raised hearts on) and thought I would never use them, always hated rubber gloves. They are actually very good, very easy to take on and off, no need to fight with them. They are certainly helping with my battle to stop my hands from drying out.

Silver msm! My skin is so soft and I don't need to use primer anymore.

Youngmystery · 06/01/2018 10:54

My fitbit. Love it although not lost any weight yet but hoping I will soon.

Ive ordered one as well! Grin

And at the risk of looking like some sort of toilet troll, I read on another thread yesterday about the Squatty Potty/similar brands which helps put you in the "natural" position on the toilet and helps with constipation, which I am going to buy for my mum. (sure she'll be thrilled!)

I joined amazon prime before Christmas for the free delivery but I'm unsure what else I can use it for ?

MrsHathaway · 07/01/2018 10:25

Music and video - Prime is good at both.
