Whilst this isn't a TAAT, it's been inspired by alot of posts I've seen lately, where a man cannot possibly be expected to look after his own children.
We seem to have husbands who can't feed their own children, feed them. Or even take them shopping.
What. The. Actual. Fuck.
Who actually believes this shit? If my DH turned round and told me he couldnt possibly manage to dress the kids then I'd send him to the doctor, because that seems like a simple task for a grown man who manages to dress himself, drive, hold down a job. So there must be something wrong!!

Honestly

If you were hit by a bus and killed do you honestly believe that your children would be forever naked. Starved. Never bathed. Forever more? Because come on, some men just can't seem to get their heads around simple childcare tasks! One man earlier couldn't tell the difference between tights and leggings! Fucking ludicrous.

So come on, if you honestly believe this bullshit. Why are you with them? The lazy shites

My friend has 2 boys and a girl - we all went camping and the kids were given jobs to do, the boys were asked to peel potatoes. My friend scurried over and told the boys she and her daughter would do the potatoes because they wouldn't do it properly angry . My fab sister told her that she would raise boys that were exactly like their father, who she moans about for being useless !! She just couldn't see it angry

exactly! so its women hating to point out where this hugely comes from.

DP would have been a much better lone parent than his ex. He can cook, clean, knows how to use a washing machine, is great with kids and isn't an alcoholic who only stops drinking for as long as it takes to roll a spliff.

He certainly wouldn't have let DSS grow weed on a near industrial scale in their loft at the age of 15!

Amazingly, DSS has grown up fine, but there was a period where it was touch and go.

I get where the OP is coming from. There are lots of threads from women whose partners can't cope with any aspect of being a parent - from taking kids to school to caring for them overnight when mum is away.

You do wonder why women have made the choice to be with useless, incompetent and spineless men in the first place.

It does surprise me when I read about such fuckwit men. My OH didnt live with us until DS was four and he was nearly 50..Yes at first he needed to learn but now 8 years later he is a fully paid up parent.

He takes on just as much parenting maybe more than myself. One of the main things is I dont have to do all the thinking...IYSWIM. IE if DS needed new shoes/ clothes OH is just as capable of sorting it as myself.

I think it does help that OH had a quite involved father..unusual for the early seventies and I hope my DS takes his lesson in parenting from his Dad

"It's either a partnership where each does 50/50 or it's not."

Yellow - this is the kind of bland statement that gets trotted out on MN, but holds no sway whatsoever in the real world. Surely you can see that not all families have two parents who work similar / predictable hours. What about those who work away weekly or for large chunks of the year, or if one parent's earnings are hugely disproportionate compared to the other? It's still a partnership if one parent is at home, just a different kind of partnership. There is no one size fits all.

Yeah. Blame the women for the men being lazy fucks. Nice

@Hopeful103

No just blame the women for being dumb enough to choose men like these. It's a choice and so is having kids with these men. Why complain when you chose this.

Congratulations, you win the award for the most sanctimonious, patronising, and ridiculous post on the thread. And the OP has put quite a few doozies on, so well done you! 🎖️👊🏆
