She's got me through many a lonely/boring Saturday evening and is a bit of a legend in my eyes. Smile
Loving the music tonight too.

I absolutely hate her show, I always turn the radio off when she comes on.
Takes all sorts to turn the world!

TidyBadger · 23/12/2017 20:00

Oh.

I love her show.. It's all a bit random and I love that. Feels like being with a mildly demented aunt.. Gentle fun

Ropsleybunny · 23/12/2017 20:01

I like her show, it's like she's a friend.

JingleBellsFartlekSmells · 23/12/2017 20:02

I love her... EXCEPT for the annoying squeaky thing. It's a bit cringey, no?
She's got ace taste in music though, always eclectic and enjoyable.

Littlewoo · 23/12/2017 20:02

I'm afraid I have to switch her off too, find her extremely irritating. Sorry op!

Littlefish · 23/12/2017 20:04

I find her false laugh horribly annoying. I can't listen to her.

Puppymania · 23/12/2017 20:04

URBU, she is rubbish! I switch off too. Can't stand her voice. Sorry OP!

TidyBadger · 23/12/2017 20:04

Yes, demented aunt is bang on. I love it when she talks to herself, makes me feel like I'm not the only one Grin

I don't hear it v often, but sometimes catch a bit in the car, and I agree, she's nice, it's like having your mate round shooting the breeze. I find Frank Skinner's show on absolute like that too... it's like he's just chatting with friends, and it has a lovely feel about it shame about all the football crap interspersed with it though Grin

Noodledoodledoo · 23/12/2017 20:05

I take CD's if I know I am going to be in the car when she is on!!!! Drives me potty.

TidyBadger · 23/12/2017 20:06

Blimey, wish I'd not asked Wink
You don't think she's a Mumsnetter and will be horribly offended by my well meaning thread do you? Grin

Slartybartfast · 23/12/2017 20:06

I never realised they chose their own music?
are you sure?

Slartybartfast · 23/12/2017 20:07

I do like her, in small doses, on the radio. yup

Violletta · 23/12/2017 20:07

mildly demented aunt sums her up perfectly

I love her show

TidyBadger · 23/12/2017 20:07

slarty I have no idea tbh.

OP posts:
Slartybartfast · 23/12/2017 20:08

She was on someone else's show and they mentioned her great music taste. So perhaps she does chose.
made me think when Richard Madely, how annoying is he? however his taste in music is good. imo

Moons1 · 23/12/2017 20:09

Well, I adore her and plan meals that will mean I’m in the kitchen for as long as possible listening to Liza and having a glass of wine.

Gingernaut · 23/12/2017 20:09

I luffs her. She's the last thing I listen to before switching over to Absolute until Sounds of the 70s on Sunday afternoon.

Liza picks her own music rather than sticking to the playlist.

Slartybartfast · 23/12/2017 20:10

love sounds of the 70s show gingernaut.
that is a good plan, to play Liza in place of Elaine Page

TidyBadger · 23/12/2017 20:12

Oh god, Richard Madeley is not a favourite here either Envy Don't think much of Michael Ball or Elaine Paige either.
Will try and find Frank Skinner at some point.

Have been recommended Johnny Vaughan (sp?) a number of times. Anyone listen to him?

MyChemicalMummy · 23/12/2017 20:15

Sorry OP I have to turn her off, can't stand her voice or her presenting style. The same with Sara Cox too.

galloglass · 23/12/2017 20:16

I love her too now - but I didn't used to. She's really grown on me and I now find myself looking forward to Saturday tea time with her on. Liza Tarbuck and Jamie Cullum are my two radio 2 favourites.

holidayqueriwifi · 23/12/2017 20:20

Liza fan here. Big Liza fan!

FeelingGuiltyAlready · 23/12/2017 20:20

I just don't think she's good enough. She stumbles over so much of what she's reading out. She said it was because she was feeling ill tonight but IT's always the same. I also think the listener texts and emails are boring. Everyone is "fabulous" and everyone is having a cheeky glass of wine while listening to R2 YAWN. I really don't rate her as a radio presenter, doubtless she can do other things pretty well.
