Surely now is the time for a vote of utter no confidence in Theresa May. AIBU to think she and those around her are utterly incompetent and making Britain a laughing stock around the globe?

May should do what’s right for NI and two fingers to Arlene. If DUP don’t like it they can think about whether Corbyn and his shower are any better and act accordingly. I’m sick of mono maniac loons destroying my country.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 05/12/2017 14:28

Who is laughing excatly Germany who can’t form a leading coalition France who have a surge of the far right

European countries have issues of their own. The EU don’t want the UK to leave it was never going to be easy it was never going to be lets sit down and we shall have it all done and dusted within a few days

They U.K. has always been on the fringe of the EU in many ways due to history and geography but our involvement is very much needed to keep it stable us leaving is going to be felt by the rest of the EU as well as the UK and they of course are looking after their interests

The whole referendum was totally ill thought out and should have been challenged but stupidly our MP’s were so out of touch they didn’t think it through

makeourfuture · 05/12/2017 15:14

The EU don’t want the UK to leave

I think this is true.

pointythings · 05/12/2017 16:18

Enthusiasm it is taking Germany a while to form a coalition. Don't think that means anything though - Germany is still functioning quite nicely. As did Belgium when they were without a government for well over a year. As did the Netherlands, where it took 7 months to form a coalition. This is part of coalition politics. I love the way people spin it into something it really isn't.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 05/12/2017 22:22

Germany could be heading for another election this is a gamble

Germany has a far right party with a considerable number of seats which can hold influence now this really isn’t something that is being spun out of nothing

The rise of the far right in Europe is very concerning for them we have a different history so like I said Europe has its own issues

The stability of the EU is vital for Europe at the moment us leaving isn’t good for for other European either

Another GE?
What would be the point?
Labour leadership are even more pro Brexit than the current Tories, so I suppose those in favour of a hard no-deal Brexit would have to vote Labour, and let the chips fall where they may.....

So GE called, Labour wins, Brexit happens on a no deal, NI still all kinds of Fucked Up, pound tanks, businesses leave, everything Nationalised, service goes to hell because of unending strikes, Income Tax back up to 83% SuperTax rate (I remember)
Students say "Where's the £££ you promised would be repaid" NHS says "Where's the £££ you promised to safeguard the NHS", no more money forthcoming so they go on strike, Policepersons and Firepersons (see what I did there) say "Where's the £££ you promised would be ours to safeguard the Public", wtf no money left? That's it, we're going on strike, Oh no you are not matey. Law just rushed through Parliament, you is Essential Services you is, needed to protect MP's from scorn and/or derision. Sarcasm and/or ridicule particularly harmful to MP MH well being........

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Joe Public has to get on with whatever shitshow hand is dealt to us.

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 06:38

you is Essential Services you is

How did Tommy from Snatch get in charge?

Eatalot · 06/12/2017 06:48

In last ge the amount of people I heard say im done voting tory but will do one last time for brexit was crazy. They country is in the shit because people blindly followed the right wing media. Read the daily fail comments they ate still at it. Still using terms such as remoamers and loony left still blaiming labour for the banking crash or the young for not voting Tory. Only hope now is another GE. Although I fear another Corbyn is a terrorist campaign and everyone will just forget the last year. Fear politics.

pointythings · 06/12/2017 07:01

The only reason we don't have the extreme right on the rise in the UK is because they are already running the show...

shhhfastasleep · 06/12/2017 07:16

If you think the current shambolic crew are the extreme right, you need a history lesson.

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 07:35

If you think the current shambolic crew are the extreme right, you need a history lesson

I don't know. At the rate the poor are dying, they are moving up the league table:

new analysis links 30,000 excess deaths in 2015 to cuts in health and social care

maddening · 06/12/2017 07:37

A general election right now would be more destabilising than the current shambles - there is no more time for anyone in government to rework the brexit approach. Cameron fucked up calling the referendum and may fucked up both triggering art, 50 before enough was known and by calling a general election but now we need them to get it sorted (am a remainer)

maddening · 06/12/2017 07:38

And voted Labour where would normally be lib dem

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 07:44

get it sorted

It's not going to be sorted.

shhhfastasleep · 06/12/2017 07:46

You have no idea how bad extreme right wing politics is. May it always stay that way.

somewhereovertherain · 06/12/2017 07:52

The only saving grace about Brexit is that Trump may we’ll have started world war 3 before the total cluster fuck sets off.

Anyone who voted for Brexit should be taxed double and have benefits cut.

Cameron, Osbourne, gove, UKIP and Johnson all should be in prison.

The shit show has only just begun.

emma2468 · 06/12/2017 07:54

If there was a new or improved option to the current shambles that is politics! The Mumsnet party??

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 07:54

You have no idea how bad extreme right wing politics is

Those tens of thousands of excess dead may disagree.

somewhereovertherain · 06/12/2017 07:55

Treesa May should have listed to her EU ambassador Ivor Rogers. But no she needed to start the shit show straight away.

Justanotherlurker · 06/12/2017 07:56

Anyone who voted for Brexit should be taxed double and have benefits cut.

Kinder, Gentler politics in action right there, all that empathy you have of others is just dripping in that statement.

Rebeccaslicker · 06/12/2017 07:56

I just don't understand how anyone could look at Brexit and think, "sure, I'm the person for the job, I can handle this."

anyone who actually wants that job probably isn't the right person to do it!

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 07:57

Well in reality, before it is over, we may all have our taxes raised and our benefits cut.

Rebeccaslicker · 06/12/2017 07:58

Just - that's what corbyn and his ilk want. To take and spend as much of other people's money as possible, without thinking for a second that there would be consequences as shock horror, people don't like having more than a fair share taken from what they've worked hard for!

shhhfastasleep · 06/12/2017 08:03

Google Chile or Argentina in the 80s. And find out what extreme right wing is. And no, it doesn't mean the current shower are ok and middle of the road.

shhhfastasleep · 06/12/2017 08:05

As for "kinder gentler politics " maybe Saint Jeremy could've mobilised his many followers to stop the Brexit vote. But no, stirring shit is all he can do.
