To think it's unfair on HRH Catherine

It's been on my mind that a spring wedding is one way to make sure all eyes are on you and not Catherine. As depending on the date chosen she'll either be extremely heavily pregnant or possibly postpartum, she's never really rushed to the celeb demands of having your pre-pregnancy body in 4 weeks. If she has HG that lasts till term she really won't enjoy the day, I remember one heavily pregnant Mum when I got married going home in the end to rest she was struggling that much.

It'll be a dilemma for William as he'll want to celebrate the day, as will Catherine. If she's heavily pregnant or post partum he got really overly drink, I think I'm right in thinking Catherine BF so she can't drink and needs somewhere private to feed. (Plus possibly an outfit that allows for ease of feeding)

I'm wondering if there's already an announcement due for once their married, that Harry & Meghan are expecting, thus the 4/5 month turn around if not quicker, going by my interpretations of Spring. It seems rather rushed.

I understand given Meghan's age it's now or never, I just feel it's a bit harsh on Catherine, as in any scenario she'll not overly get to celebrate the day. She's always been close to Harry, so I assume she'd want to take part and have a time similar to her wedding, partying till the small hours.

A summer wedding would give Catherine & William the luxury of not worrying if baby will arrive imminently, or that Catherine will be postpartum, knackered and really not feel like a part of the day.

I know it's Harry & Meghan's big day, but as I've said he's always been close to his brother and SIL. I honestly thought any announcement would be with the third pregnancy in mind.

I think you've thought about this way too much.

Mumthulu · 30/11/2017 04:01

I went to a wedding 4 weeks post partum... Hubs was best man, it was brilliant.

Don't let it worry you, op. Somebody is paid to.worry about this.

get a grip

Sackettstreet · 30/11/2017 06:26

There so many sarcastic/rude comments here! I often wonder why people bother to get involved in threads if only for that reason, (should I call you over invested?)
My thoughts are that the people involved would have had a conversation about it and made sure Kate's needs are taken into account.
It was a perfectly valid question,

JonSnowsWife · 30/11/2017 06:36

I just mentioned to my husband that the queen might not attend the wedding, according to an article i read. He said, ‘why? Is she babysitting?

Does OP put anyone else in mind of Julian, the ronseal coloured obsequious telly jewellery presenter that Bridget Jones' mum ran off with?

Lweji · 30/11/2017 07:53

I know. They can send Katebot. Just ask Trump for the Melaniabot maker. Grin

emmaloo14 · 30/11/2017 08:09

I have to say my brother got married 5 days after my daughter was born. I had HG until term with my pregnancy and I had a section. I also breast fed, it took some planning before the wedding, the biggest issue was the outfit for me. But I'm all honesty it's not all about Kate and get on with it.

MasterofKittens · 30/11/2017 08:27

Not sure why anyone would give this headspace tbh

CosyLulu · 30/11/2017 08:32

I knew something had been keeping me awake at night. This is all such a worry ... Hmm

Misslouise88 · 30/11/2017 10:34

I hunk some of these comments are harsh. Poor woman! She obviously has a deep interest in our royal family which is nice to see. I am however, completely bored of the whole media circus surrounding the prince and his actress future wife. Just because someone shares different views you don't have to be so rude. Don't read or comment if you're not interested. You've taken time out of your day to read and reply! Why bother?!

Misslouise88 · 30/11/2017 10:35

Think*

VanillaSugar · 30/11/2017 11:22

Well, I feel sorry for Charlotte. It's her third birthday on 2 May. She won't get any attention now, other than being A.N. Other bridesmaid. Do you think she'll need counselling?

Lweji · 30/11/2017 11:24

Very good point. Will nobody think of Charlotte? I predict typical middle child syndrome.

BTW, who will be the ring bearer (or bear?)?

ButchyRestingFace · 30/11/2017 11:25

I am positively rigid with fear that the corgis will feel pushed out.

Lweji · 30/11/2017 11:25

Not as much as the dog Meghan left behind, though. Sad

PrinceGeorgeTheCutest · 30/11/2017 11:30

No one ever thinks of me :(

SleepingStandingUp · 30/11/2017 11:32

Lweji she left him with friends, not tied to a lampost in the park. Perhaps she didn't think he'd cope with the travel and quarantine so instead left him with the people he stays with when she travels?

ButchyRestingFace · 30/11/2017 11:34

Not as much as the dog Meghan left behind, though. sad

Don’t speak of it.

Who would have thunk such a joyous event could spark this tidal wave of unparalleled calamity and suffering?

It’s almost Shakesperean.

Lweji · 30/11/2017 12:24

Lweji she left him with friends, not tied to a lampost in the park. Perhaps she didn't think he'd cope with the travel and quarantine so instead left him with the people he stays with when she travels?

Yes, why don't we start a whole new discussion about that? Wink

Lweji · 30/11/2017 12:24

No one ever thinks of me sad

You're the first born and you'll be king (or would be king...). Get over it.

SleepingStandingUp · 30/11/2017 12:25

There is already one, you might wanna go and side with that OP 😝

Lweji · 30/11/2017 12:26

I can't stand with the OP on that one now, not after standing on the opposite side for the whole thread. Grin

sunshine11 · 30/11/2017 13:34

Seriously? They are in love and I am sure Kate and Wills are happy for them.

Maybe they should postpone the wedding until after the queen and Prince Philip have died as they are both getting on now!!

VanillaSugar · 30/11/2017 13:35

Maybe HRH Catherine should have a fourth child to combat the Middle Child Syndrome? I think she should time it to arrive just about the same time as Meghan's due date. Such fun.

But who would have the best Birthing Suite? Catherine, because she's the future QOfE or Meghan because it will be her first baby? Oh no. I'm actually worried now. Confused
