To ask in what ways you are trampy

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 10:55

I posted a AIBU about not using pads and it got me thinking about other stuff people do behind closed doors that make them kinda trampy. Is it just me? Am I just a disgusting hobo freak hybrid?
Stuff I do:

  • TP instead of pads at home
  • Sometimes eat out the saucepan - I mean, why not?
  • If not particularly cold I'll just wear my boots without socks
  • Re-use same mug throughout day for all drinks
  • Sleep in makeup if too lazy
  • Wear clearly dirty clothes around house
  • Have been known to use mugs for cereal and soup because too lazy to wash up bowls
  • Do a bun because hair full of knots and cant be fucked to brush it just to go down to shop

My sister is the sort to apply full contouring make-up just to go for a Sunday walk.

Clearly something got seriously fucked up in our childhood

What is described by the OP is not just laziness

What is it then?

Lack of self esteem?

Ethylred · 26/11/2017 14:55

Oh now I see.
I thought trampy in the sense of having loose morals rather than comfy trousers.
Do you have comfy morals too OP?

Tessliketrees · 26/11/2017 14:56

Lack of self esteem?

Self esteem is tied into what shape crockery one eats from?

Flumplet · 26/11/2017 15:00

I’m probably the most slatternly heathen out there. Do all the above except the tp one as that’s a right faff.

Littlechocola · 26/11/2017 15:00

Why are people boasting about being vile?

user1471426142 · 26/11/2017 15:00

I’ve done most of that list other than the dirty clothes. I’m not sure why there is quite so much shock on here or troll accusations. Loads of people at work re-use mugs for hot drinks, it doesn’t seem particularly unusual to me. Likewise going to bed after a late night with makeup still on. It’s obviously not ideal but loads of people do it when drunk.

My hair was always perfect pre children but I’ll often shove it in a bun after washing. It looks fine. I’m not sure what the major issue with loo roll is either? I’ll quite often use it if I’m at home and just need something to tide me over for a little while. I hate pads and only use tampons and sometimes I just want a break.

TooManyPaws · 26/11/2017 15:06

I really don't get the big deal about loo roll when your flow is light. A little bit tucked between gets replaced every time you pee so it is getting changed more often than a pad. And, frankly, pulling out a mostly dry tampon with only a smear of blood is sodding uncomfortable.

Eifla · 26/11/2017 15:09

I use the same mug for tea and glass for water all day. It wouldn’t occur to me to get a fresh one each time.

I don’t wash up the pizza tray inbetween uses unless some cheese has melted over and burnt on.

My dog sleeps on my bed. In it if he gets cold. I let him lick my bowl after eating ice cream.

I’m sure there’s others that I can’t remember right now.

ClaryFray · 26/11/2017 15:10

I have big fluffy PJs that will get always a weeks wear before there washed.

In the winter I sometimes wear the top I slept in, under my jumper for the day. Because it's too cold to take all layers off.

Also, I often eat my dinner in bed.

DS and I have picnics on blankets on the front room floor next to The dinner table cause I CBC

MaisyPops · 26/11/2017 15:45

Hair up in a bun if it's a mess. Dry shampoo is my friend on work mornings.

I don't wear much makeup so will sleep in my mascara

One cup all day and just rince if changing drinks.

I'll throw a hoody on if in going to the shop rather than put a bra on if I'm already comfy.

FabulouslyGlamorousFerret · 26/11/2017 16:07

I quite often use a few sheets of 'TP' instead of a pad, I don't do tampons and hate the plasticky feeling of pads so when I am very light ... 'TP' it is!! 👍🏻

Spangles1963 · 26/11/2017 16:18

I've stayed in my PJs or nightdress all day if I'm not going out or expecting visitors. I've also put my coat on over my nightwear to pop downstairs to the shops. I've eaten food out of a saucepan to save on washing up. And I've worn my boots without socks if its not particularly cold out.

BewareOfTheToddler · 26/11/2017 16:31

Sometimes I put on jeans and a coat over my pyjama top to walk DS to the childminder's house or run to the corner shop.

On lazy weekends I sometimes stay in my pyjamas all day and don't shower, and batch cook. (Disclaimer: this is not as grim as it sounds, as I then shower and put fresh ones on before bed.)

I sometimes reuse mugs and even plates for things like sandwiches when home alone.

OkapiCarrot · 26/11/2017 16:44

VietVet

I wipe with DHs mucky socks out of the wash basket if I'm caught short on the bog with no bog roll.

Oh my goodness, does he know? Grin I hope he returns the favour!
(lighthearted Wink )

OkapiCarrot · 26/11/2017 16:45

Also, whats the issue with using toilet paper? It's not like she's shoving it up her vaj!

Mince314 · 26/11/2017 16:49

I once re-used the same cup all day to avoid filling the dishwasher up unnecessarily, my relative home from America at the time noticed and interpreted as a lack of self-worth. I said I didn't want to put the dishwasher on and use hot water more than necessary. I know she thought I don't love myself enough to have tea in a clean cup but it bothers me more to tax the environment unnecessarily by taking a clean cup out of the cupboard every time.

I get the OP. I don't do all of these but I have done at some point and the sky hasn't fallen in .

loobyloo1234 · 26/11/2017 16:50

I rarely brush my hair ... but it rarely gets tangled so im lucky ... but TP -Confused I don't understand that one at all. There's no need. I bet people can smell you coming when you do that, sorry OP

MostPeopleAreCunts · 26/11/2017 16:55

Grin at someone claiming that what the OP describes is actually making her "wanna vom" calling herself stopbeingadramallama. Pot...kettle?

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 16:58

Im starting to feel a lot better about myself, many thanks to @VietVet and her foot biting/sock wiping ways in particular.

MostPeopleAreCunts · 26/11/2017 17:00

The shock and disgust at someone using loo roll instead of pads is making me laugh, too. Nobody appears to be able to articulate what the actual problem/risk/disgusting thing about it is, just trot out the usual MN theme tune of "vile...grim'. I don't know how a lot of people manage to get through life when they're so appalled and nauseated by the inconsequential choices of others.

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 17:03

@MostPeopleAreCunts
Yeah and all the troll comments and biscuits. Like alright, fuck off back onto your arsehole-bleaching threads then if its all so grimy and trollish down here for you.

Dear God. Some of the responses on here are hilarious!

What's with the very intense comparisons to the Homeless because she used the word ' trampy?' Confused

Unclench people!!

formerbabe · 26/11/2017 17:08

I regularly sleep in full make up then when I wake up just apply more over the top.

Gwenhwyfar · 26/11/2017 17:08

TP instead of pads at home - no, but I don't see a problem with it

  • Sometimes eat out the saucepan - I mean, why not?, of course, why create more washing up?
  • If not particularly cold I'll just wear my boots without socks - no, uncomfortable and smelly, occasionally wear slippers without socks and the slippers get smelly but can be washed in the machine
  • Re-use same mug throughout day for all drinks - of course, same cup for same drink
  • Sleep in makeup if too lazy - almost always
  • Wear clearly dirty clothes around house - yes, of course, why waste clean clothes. Having said that, mine have usually just been worn a lot rather than being visibly dirty
  • Have been known to use mugs for cereal and soup because too lazy to wash up bowls - no, but will use chopping board as a plate sometimes
EvieBlack · 26/11/2017 17:08

I can wear the same socks for 3 or 4 days in cold weather. My feet just don’t get sweaty/smell. Even my DH, who believe me would not spare my feelings, says that all my socks/ shoes smell of is fabric softener.
