To ask in what ways you are trampy

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 10:55

I posted a AIBU about not using pads and it got me thinking about other stuff people do behind closed doors that make them kinda trampy. Is it just me? Am I just a disgusting hobo freak hybrid?
Stuff I do:

  • TP instead of pads at home
  • Sometimes eat out the saucepan - I mean, why not?
  • If not particularly cold I'll just wear my boots without socks
  • Re-use same mug throughout day for all drinks
  • Sleep in makeup if too lazy
  • Wear clearly dirty clothes around house
  • Have been known to use mugs for cereal and soup because too lazy to wash up bowls
  • Do a bun because hair full of knots and cant be fucked to brush it just to go down to shop

My sister is the sort to apply full contouring make-up just to go for a Sunday walk.

Clearly something got seriously fucked up in our childhood

Sometimes if really tired and desperste for bed I don't take off my make up or wash my teeth before going to bed, but really hate this about myself.
Sometimes wear the same pair of jeans more than once.
Otherwise not overly trampy and am disgusted that some people don't use toilet paper! Shock

PoorYorick · 26/11/2017 13:34

I've used TP when I've been caught short but I can't see why anyone would if they have a pad or tampon to hand.

I really can't stay in PJs all day. I'll wear something very old, ugly and comfy.

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 26/11/2017 13:34

What's wrong with using toilet paper instead of pads? The stuff is made to flush down the toilet (unlike pads) and if your period is light enough it does the job fine.

I re-use the same mug throughout day for tea and coffee, and the same glass for multi glasses of water. If I'm staying home alone I don't bother to do my hair, put make-up on or wash anywhere apart from my undercarriage, or wear clean clothes every day apart from pants. No-one is going to see or smell me!

The TP thing is disgusting
Why is it disgusting? Confused Serious question because I just don't understand what's wrong with it.

LoafEater · 26/11/2017 13:35

I'm sure most 'tramps', or homeless proper would love to wear clean clothes, have clean hair and use actual sanitary protection instead of toilet paper. You are not trampy, you are just dirty.

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 13:39

@TooManyPaws
I love you. And am so glad to not be the only TP fan. Wine

@WhatALoadOfOldBollocks

Exactly. It may be unusual but I don't see what's disgusting about it.

I haven’t had a bath or shower since June. But I have a mental illness. It’s not an excuse though and I’m aware it’s rank. I do wash ‘bits and pits’ and my hair, and I’m working up to having a bath, it’s something I’m working with my CPN on.

But even I use pads!! 🤢

Rinoachicken · 26/11/2017 13:44

And I never wear dirty clothes!

Kittysparks1 · 26/11/2017 13:46

Wow everyone going nuts about the tp!!!
I use tp at the beginning and end of my monthly time as I find pads really irritating. So no OP you are not alone!

I use the same cup for the whole day.

I have been known to have a swig of water from a glass that has been left by my bed after 2 days. Probably not healthy.

My bras do not get washed as often as they should.... I will wear the same one for a week sometimes... that's probably my most digusting thing.

ShirleyPhallus · 26/11/2017 13:54

Can’t believe the word trampy is allowed to stand on this thread, what a horrible use of it. And a horrible thread!

monkeymamma · 26/11/2017 13:56

I’m sure using toilet paper long term in place of pads could make you more suspectible to infections/TSS, no?
I can’t bear it if my hair’s not clean and brushed. However I work from home and unless I’m going “out” (school run doesn’t count!) I wear clothes until they are actually dirty (ie spills etc). This is not for as long as you might think as with young DC —also I’m very clumsy— spills happen a lot.
I don’t flush away wees if I’m home alone but that’s environmental right?
School uniform is expected to last at least half the week and I have found that baby wipes are excellent for getting rid of marks from nylony school trousers and fleeces!
I only iron bed linen and dh’s shirts (dc shirts too but they rarely wear any).
Eating from the saucepan is fine if you don’t mind :-) I’ve “bean” known to eat Heinz straight from the microwave pot 😊

monkeymamma · 26/11/2017 13:57

Using same cup for coffee is surely the only sane way. Washing it every time highly unenvironmental!

Why would it do that Monkey?

SilverdaleGlen · 26/11/2017 14:29

I'm cleaning my house wearing Tracey bottoms with horse pooh on them does that count?

SilverdaleGlen · 26/11/2017 14:29

Tracky!

RoseWhiteTips · 26/11/2017 14:32

Fluffyears

I do none of that.

Nor do I. I just cannot imagine doing any of those things.

RoseWhiteTips · 26/11/2017 14:36

What is described by the OP is not just laziness.

InsomniacAnonymous · 26/11/2017 14:38

I've never done any of the things in your OP. It just wouldn't occur to me to do any of them.

Allwashedup · 26/11/2017 14:39

Starting to think this is a goady troll-like thread Hmm

HildaZelda · 26/11/2017 14:45

I really can't understand using toilet paper instead of pads? If it's a cost issue pads/tampons etc are less than £1 in Aldi.
I don't do anything on the OP's list.

Tessliketrees · 26/11/2017 14:49

What is described by the OP is not just laziness

What is it then?

I'm very Trampy.

I use the same cup all day.
I wear mucky clothes in the house.
I bite the hard skin off my feet.
I use bog roll instead of tampons in the house.
I wee in the shower.
I let the dog lick my feet.
I wipe with DHs mucky socks out of the wash basket if I'm caught short on the bog with no bog roll.
