To ask in what ways you are trampy

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 10:55

I posted a AIBU about not using pads and it got me thinking about other stuff people do behind closed doors that make them kinda trampy. Is it just me? Am I just a disgusting hobo freak hybrid?
Stuff I do:

  • TP instead of pads at home
  • Sometimes eat out the saucepan - I mean, why not?
  • If not particularly cold I'll just wear my boots without socks
  • Re-use same mug throughout day for all drinks
  • Sleep in makeup if too lazy
  • Wear clearly dirty clothes around house
  • Have been known to use mugs for cereal and soup because too lazy to wash up bowls
  • Do a bun because hair full of knots and cant be fucked to brush it just to go down to shop

My sister is the sort to apply full contouring make-up just to go for a Sunday walk.

Clearly something got seriously fucked up in our childhood

TP at home is rank OP. At least buy washable pads Sad

You sound like you need to take a bit more care of yourself tbh. Basic hygiene shouldn't really be something you let go of on a regular basis.

Also is it that hard to stick a load of washing on a quick wash and plonk it in the dryer once a week so you have clean slobbing about clothes?

They can be as tatty as hell but they don't need to be dirty Confused

sinceyouask · 26/11/2017 12:58

All my pjs are leggings and tops that have become too stained and torn to wear out of the house.

Changerofname987654321 · 26/11/2017 12:59

What is TP at home?

RJnomore1 · 26/11/2017 12:59

Do you bull use TP.

It disintegrates and anyway it's more hassle fashioning it into a suitable shape then putting a pad on. Been caught out out and about before and had no option until I got to ashop.

As for the rest, are you my dd2? Your sister also sounds like my dd1...

stopbeingadramallama · 26/11/2017 13:00

Is TP toilet paper? 😷

Bluntness100 · 26/11/2017 13:01

OP, I salute you for your bravery in posting this here, where posters proud of their daintiness energetically compete to be the most repulsed and type things such as "Boak" and "Eeewwww" and of course "Grim".
Maybe you're being a bit of a stirrer, but I admire you

Seriously? You admire someone who posts anonymously they are slovenly and think anyone who tells them it’s dirty is dainty ? Hmm

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 13:02

@RJnomore1
I'm glad to hear we arent the only siblings to have very different habits despite the same upbringing!

Cheeseandcucumber · 26/11/2017 13:03

Another one wondering what TP is.

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 13:03

@CoalTit
I'm still waiting to read a post that exceeds my level but am feeling quite nervous its not going to happen.
Maybe my sister is right...Grin

ColinCreevy · 26/11/2017 13:06

The TP thing is disgusting. Treat yourself to some pads ffs.

stopbeingadramallama · 26/11/2017 13:07

So TP is toilet paper?

Mulberry72 · 26/11/2017 13:07

Grim, very grim.

munkynutts · 26/11/2017 13:08

FFS. I was hoping at least SOMEONE would be with me on this one. Clearly i stand alone.

OP posts:
PoorYorick · 26/11/2017 13:09

Toilet paper. And I can't see why it's more effort to use a pad...doesn't bog roll fall apart and not last anywhere near as long?

Tika77 · 26/11/2017 13:09

If TP is really loo paper you could try a Mooncup instead. Not my thing but works out for many people.

stopbeingadramallama · 26/11/2017 13:09

You actually make me wanna vom.

esk1mo · 26/11/2017 13:09

i do get into PJs as soon as i get home, or keep them on all day if im not going out.

dont really wear a bra unless its to gym or work, but im a C cup.

eating out of mugs/pans is weird imo, as is the ‘TP’ Sad

claraschu · 26/11/2017 13:15

most of the things you are describing are just saving resources- not wasting water, using biodegradable loo roll rather than sit-in-landfill-forever pads.
Buy a moon cup

We all share bath water, and sometimes use leftover bath water to flush the toilet. I wear my clothes until they are dirty, change sheets and towels much less often than anyone I know, am careful about wasting food. I don't see any of this as trampy; to me, wasting water and paper is trampy.

Cakesprinkles · 26/11/2017 13:19

I hate being or feeling dirty. I wear clean PJs every day/every other day and would never knowingly wear dirty clothes, even just around the house. I always get washed and dressed and basic make up before I get downstairs in the morning so that I am ready to start the day whenever necessary. If I’m off Work sick I’ll still get washed and dressed, but into new pjs. I used to be a right slob when I was a teenager, but am very different now....

stevie69 · 26/11/2017 13:23

Oh, I'm a whore. Apparently. See the Friends With Benefits thread Grin

Sparklesocks · 26/11/2017 13:26

I don’t wear bras at home if it’s just me and DP about, I’m quite generously busted and find it comfier to ‘fly free’.

Tinkerbec · 26/11/2017 13:30

I have used the tp at home too. Not a big deal for me.

Also use the same cup.

However I hate knots in my hair. I could not stand it, even laid in bed. But I would gladly use Tp Blush

TooManyPaws · 26/11/2017 13:31

I recognise quite a few of these!

I really don't see the point in using more than one mug for my tea throughout the day though I might rinse it out. Yup, big mugs for soup keeps it warmer. Yup, used to use loo roll if flow was very light rather than a dry tampon. I quite often leave my hair plaited all weekend in the same plait. Yup to big old stained jerseys because they are bloody warm when there's no central heating and my farming neighbours are much the same. Obviously clean underwear and t-shirt underneath though. Baggy hides the missing bra too. I have a pair of fake sheepskin lined boots that I often wear without socks to take the dogs out or run into town. I'm quite happy to live in pyjamas all weekend. I can't remember the last time I wore makeup so don't sleep in it 😂. A lot of people would probably have hysterics that I sleep with a minimum of three dogs on the bed and in in a basket at the foot. I tend to shove things in the oven in glass dishes and then eat out of that.

It's probably a reaction to my father's white gloves attitude - I had quite enough of that at home and elsewhere when failing room inspection because I didn't dust my light bulb Confused

teaortequila23 · 26/11/2017 13:32

I practically never wear a bra unless I’m going somewhere nice. 😂(I’m boobless anyway)
I don’t wear socks with my uggs most of the time.
I most of the time don’t get to have a shower everyday bc my dc are still so young.
I have a massive mountain of washing (that I hide)that never seems to disappear no matter if I put a wash on everyday!

Farfromtheusual · 26/11/2017 13:33

I do the hair thing and live in my PJs at home. Probably don't change them as much as I should, same with bed sheets and towels. I also don't wear makeup anymore but if I do I usually sleep in it cos I'm too lazy to take it off.
