I just don't get it...

OP posts:
Ginkypig · 10/11/2017 23:33

Me neither.

keepingbees · 10/11/2017 23:34

I didn’t understand the message it was trying to give Confused

CanIBuffalo · 10/11/2017 23:35

Me neither.

ThePinkOcelot · 10/11/2017 23:35

Me neither! Millions to make as well. We’re obviously being overcharged!

stitchglitched · 10/11/2017 23:36

I like it!

NNchangedforthis · 10/11/2017 23:59

The message is that the monster bought him a light even though he knew it would make him disappear. He wanted his freiend to be happy and get a good nights sleep even if it meant he would disappear :)

CointreauVersial · 11/11/2017 00:02

It's not a patch on Monty the Penguin (JL 2014). That still brings a little tear to my eye.

TwinkleTwinkleLittleEtoile · 11/11/2017 00:03

Me neither. Apparently loads of people are crying over it. I don't see why. Maybe I'm just hard of heart.

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 11/11/2017 00:04

I’ve liked the previous few years but I’m afraid I just didn’t get it this year.

CanIBuffalo · 11/11/2017 00:06

Ahh NN thanks. But wasn't there a hint right at then end that the monster was still there? The monster sound and the look on the boy's face?

RemainOptimistic · 11/11/2017 00:08

YANBU.

It's a fucking ADVERT. For God's sake, I fear for the survival of humanity as a species sometimes.

RangeTesKopeks · 11/11/2017 00:12

Me neither! I kind of get the message, but just wasn't really fussed by it. I really liked the one with the penguins from a couple of years ago though, and the hare and bear one :)

NoNoCharlieRascal · 11/11/2017 00:14

It's been made purely to sell 'moz'. Their trying to be this years gimmick, like Mog was before.

haveabiscuitor2 · 11/11/2017 08:25

Ahh glad i'm not the only one!

UpsyDaisyluvsIgglePiggle · 11/11/2017 08:29

I watched the advert and was quite disappointed as I was looking forward to it this year. I just don't understand the lights thing.

The fake advert though, the fox and mouse story, I love! That's so much nicer lol.

Daddystepdaddy · 11/11/2017 08:30

Peak consumerism.

MoistCantaloupe · 11/11/2017 08:31

Mum let’s kid open random present come from nowhere, and monster commits suicide

PricillaQueenOfTheDesert · 11/11/2017 08:32

You’re not alone. I found it to be meh too, nowhere near as good as previous adverts and not really Christmassy at all. Still I’m old enough to remember the excitement that the old Woolworths adverts caused.

lightcola · 11/11/2017 08:34

Thanks to the advert my son is now using the excuse of monsters under the bed to not to go to sleep. Up until then he didn’t know that was a thing.

TroysMammy · 11/11/2017 08:39

I didn't feel the slightest bit emotional just excited there could be a parody on Youtube. Look up Rude Penguin the one with the Welsh accent. "I've been sick in my mouth, I've been sick in my mouth".

dantdmistedious · 11/11/2017 08:44

It’s quite an nice ad but it’s just not Christmassy enough.

KittyandTeal · 11/11/2017 08:44

Oh thank goodness. I liked it, it was cute and non tear jerking which is a bonus, but I didn’t get the end.

I feel like a should do, something about the monster making him happy with the light show so he’s not scared anymore but they were friends. It hurts my brain

pudcat · 11/11/2017 08:51

The only people that gain from this are those greedy folk who buy up all the Moz monsters at £20 and sell them to gullible parents at £100+ on Ebay

MargeryFenworthy · 11/11/2017 08:52

As a mixed race family I'm really happy to see a family that looks like mine on the screen!

lidoshuffle · 11/11/2017 09:05

I'm another one who didn't understand it Blush. The monster's not very appealing either. I liked the brave snowman getting gloves and hat for his snowwoman.

The Paddington Bear one's good, but can't remember who it's for!
