To think the Radfords must be getting money from somewhere other than that bakery?!

They've just posted a picture of themselves at T Rex in Orlando. With 20 kids (some grandkids too I think?)

Surely there's no bakery on earth that lucrative that you can take 24 odd people to Disney World??

I've seen a few bloggers over in Florida on freebies this half term (and I don't follow that many). I think there are lots of freebies being given out to "influencers". Probably to encourage people back to Florida in the wake of the recent hurricanes. It's clever PR.

sukitea · 31/10/2017 14:59

How do you become an 'influencer'? I quite fancy free holidays.

Fuckoffee · 31/10/2017 15:05

Having 17 kids seems to be one way sukitea Grin

sukitea · 31/10/2017 16:20

I'd rather just take my time and save up for holidays Grin

Hulababy
I only ever travel school holidays and stay onsite. Sometimes we skip Universal. I do fly direct though so flights are about £600 each instead of £900. But I would imagine the parks would've given them some money towards the trip anyway as UK guest numbers are down (hence the Ant and Dec taping this year).

Oh please, they're hardly 'famous'. That's like saying the doctors from GPs Behind Closed Doors are famous.

Famous as in they could appear on Celebrity Big Brother famous (I.e hmm.. suppose... sort of but hardly)

mydog - Absolutely report him. He is evading tax (15 years worth). That affects everyone and also means he is going to treat the next tenant he has with as much contempt as he has you. He hasn't just been avoiding tax but he has not done what he is legally supposed to do as a landlord. You can actually claim back 3 x the deposit because he has not protected it. I would call Shelter freephone 0808 800 4444 (the housing charity) who will be able to advise you on exactly how to go about this. Keep all the paperwork you have from him. Do you have an official tenancy contract?

I think it’s a case that anyone can become ‘famous’ if they try hard enough these days thanks to social media and reality tv shows.

Dr Sara Kayat who was on GPs Behind Closed Doors is reasonably famous now; she’s often on This Morning offering medical advice and she was on Bear Grylls Celebrity Island recently too. Maybe not terribly famous but I bet she’s earning plenty from it all!

Onesie, he was renting the house out at least 5 years prior to us moving in so at least 20 years worth of tax.

When we moved in the deposit scheme wasn't in existence but, of course, once it came in he should have protected it. I know that we can claim 3 times the deposit and probably will.

I think he is probably going to try and get a possession order but as the Section 21 notice is not valid he will be wasting his time and money. I can only assume he thinks because our deposit was given before the scheme came in the notice is valid.

I have read tons of information on line and also have a couple of friends who are solicitors so have a reasonable knowledge of tenancy and landlord law.

I know we enabled him to dodge tax by paying cash although we did keep asking if we could pay by standing order and passing his post on. As I said though the house is nice and in an ideal place for us plus we have pets and it was not easy to find somewhere that would accept them.

I just hope the next lot of tenants are savvy on deposit etc. He will probably have to put the deposit in a scheme and then, surely, it is fairly certain he will be found out? I guess he might try and say he has only just moved out and started renting.

Part of me really wants to report him. It annoys me that he has got away with so much money tax free and the fact that his attitude as a landlord is so bad. I know though that I would feel guilty about it as he would face such a large tax bill which I am certain he would not be able to pay

QuackPorridgeBacon · 03/11/2017 19:52

Why feel guilty? He’s been a twat and has never done any repairs.

Tealdeal747 · 04/11/2017 09:57

They may have 19 offspring but they 'only' have 12 dependent dcs, 11 of whom they could claim tax credits for.

jobapplicationshock · 04/11/2017 15:48

How do you work that one out teal? They have 19 living children and only two of them live out of the house IIRC? Only the eldest at home Chloe works (for Noel), the others are still at school, so surely that would be 16 dependents?
