To think the Radfords must be getting money from somewhere other than that bakery?!

They've just posted a picture of themselves at T Rex in Orlando. With 20 kids (some grandkids too I think?)

Surely there's no bakery on earth that lucrative that you can take 24 odd people to Disney World??

Perfectly legal Squirrels ask any self employed builder. Or better and accountant. Then read any thread on here about self employed ex husbands squirrelling money away in companies and paying themselves nothing.

I do my sons books, he doesn't pay a penny tax. I make sure he has all his receipts for clothes, tools, petrol, fares, pension contribs, NI, meals out etc etc - all deductible

HelloSquirrels · 30/10/2017 21:01

Theyre famous. Do you really think nobody would investigate them?

HelloSquirrels · 30/10/2017 21:01

fence then to be honest i hope you and your son get pulled up on your tax evasion.

Chestervase1 · 30/10/2017 21:02

Shame we don’t have the same benefits as Germany and Belgium especially of child benefit is €200. What is their ol age pension then and what age is it paid, bet it’s not 67.

ChoudeBruxelles · 30/10/2017 21:02

I imagine the tv pays quite well

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 30/10/2017 21:02

“I do my sons books, he doesn't pay a penny tax. I make sure he has all his receipts for clothes, tools, petrol, fares, pension contribs, NI, meals out etc etc - all deductible”

Well he can’t be making much money if he’s not paying any tax, even after deducting allowable expenses.

FenceSitter01 · 30/10/2017 21:02

Its not tax evasion. Don't be so thick and make accusations when you have absolutely no comprehension of the law

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 30/10/2017 21:03

Tv companies pay handsomely.

Check out the company paying participants £26k each to come off of benefits. And that’s not a particularly well known programme. The Duggars take in viewers and advertising space during their shows in ad breaks must be expensive.

I would bet my bottom dollar that they are being filmed out there. No cash required as the TV company will lay it out for them. And fair enough.

TinselTwins · 30/10/2017 21:03

I think she was making money off her blog before they even did the tv program. They've also done a tv ad for a phone company and have other sponsorship

She works, her job is having a big family. She markets herself online.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 30/10/2017 21:03

Hmm you sound a peach FenceSitter

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/10/2017 21:04

Try tax credits and child benefit.
This "heroic hard working amazing family" are not costing any less than a single mum/dad on IS/JSA.

HelloSquirrels · 30/10/2017 21:04

If its not tax evasion and he is legitimately not paying tax he must be earning less than 11 grand?

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 30/10/2017 21:05

But they won’t be paying the going rate as they are giving free publicly to the place.

They won’t be paying anywhere near 50k!

BakerBear · 30/10/2017 21:05

Fence

You can only claim for clothing that is very obviously work clothing like hard hats, steel toe boots etc. You have to be able to tell straightaway that they are work clothing.

Also regarding meals out it has to be a reasonable amount not stupid amounts of money spent on food etc.

In order for your son to not pay any tax then he cant be earning more than £680 a month through the books.

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 30/10/2017 21:05

Fencesitter sounds al oat disapproving f them if they are doing such tax avoidance....before stating she does the same for her son. Grin

Nice to think that morals apply only to others isn’t it?

FenceSitter01 · 30/10/2017 21:06

That's personal allowance squirrels - talk to an accountant in your own time if you need an understanding on how to do self employed tax returns.

MsJamesDeanBradfield · 30/10/2017 21:06

I haven't overestimated. It's around 10k for a family of four to do Orlando.

It really isn't. Confused

greendale17 · 30/10/2017 21:07

Fencesitter01

doesn’t need care cos her son doesn’t pay a penny in tax apparently

HelloSquirrels · 30/10/2017 21:08

But he is a person yes? So whether hes a sole trader or paying himself a wage he cant be legitimately earning more than 11 grand without tax evasion?

So are you fiddling his books or not?

I've not expressed an opinion on the Radfords - the Op asked how it was possible - I offered an explanation - do try and actually READ what is written instead of imagining what you THINK was typed

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 30/10/2017 21:08

Fence your son needs to get a more knowledgable person to do his books or he could get into serious trouble.

ColinCreevy · 30/10/2017 21:08

Another strange MN quirk. So many posts berating anyone with more than 2 kids "because over population" but the Radfords aren't criticised for having 20 Confused

CurlsandCurves · 30/10/2017 21:08

Well this has gone off on quite a tangent, hasn’t it!

FenceSitter01 · 30/10/2017 21:09

I'm sure the collective Google of MN is indeed the leading authority. I bow to your better KIA browser skills.
