I still have a question! What happened to F4 (or F5).

She then went on to tell us about F1 (the CF) and F2 & F3 ... but there has been (as far as I remember) no more mention of F4 (or F5, if KungFu is F4), across both threads.

So where is the fifth lady? I have to know. Did the CF do something dire to her?

Mil left the scene of an accident and when the police turned up at her house (which is in the middle of nowhere) she claimed she had no idea what they were talking about, and that she had done no such thing! It wasn't until she was (arrested) shown photos of herself in her car, at the scene of the accident and they pointed out her car was dented and had coloured paint scrapes from the other car, that she admitted to it and brought on the waterworks.

When she went to court she manufactured a story about being terrified of what her abusive husband would say. (FIL was living abroad, where they at the time were living, she was just over for a holiday) By playing the victim she got off with a warning. (Disclaimer mil is the family matriarch, FIL is a narcissistic sociopath but dh says their relationship with each other was not abusive. Despite both being emotionally abusive of dh)

We were not in contact at the time ( we are still NC even longer story) dh found the newspaper article when he was looking up to see if their house was on the market.

She is so right in summarising all of this. I don't need to repeat it again.
This is hurtful and wrong, but find a way to see this for what it is .. i.e. Not the end of the World .. plan your weekend and accept however hurtful and sad she is no friend. It will all seem a bit better in a few days. You run a successful business and she is the one jealous of you hence the reason she mentioned the word jealousy. Do not react any more as you are above her level of things.

I think she's given you enough reason now to escalate it and make a complaint about her behaviour to the school.

After everything -she chooses to come see you in person to harass and berate you!
Considering she is representing the PTA/school i think it's only right that you make a formal complaint about her.
How many other people is/will she do this to?

Do look up Narcissist, it's her - it's all about them, they are very entitled, they are never wrong, if anything does go wrong it's always someone else's fault....

It's never nice to lose a friend, especially one of such longstanding but you are so much better off without her, so much so that it is far more of a gain than a loss. You've confirmed what a nice person you are and rid yourself of someone who really, really wasn't worthy of your loyalty and generosity.

So sad for you OP, it's horrible to lose a friend that you've had a long time, but it sounds like this one has only ever had her own back rather than yours She had so many chances to turn this around, and she fell at every hurdle, so please don't beat yourself up about it, you've been the bigger woman all along

OP, that sucks. She appears to be a total narcissist. I'd send her a link to these 2 threads to show that popular opinion doesn't concur that you are the one in the wrong here.

It's upsetting when friends let you down, but whatever happens from here on, at least she won't be a CF with you again. Hope you're not feeling too bad - you have nothing to feel bad about.

Hope the PTA lady doesn't get taken in by F1's certain lie that apologies were made by her, and accepted by you (or that you didn't accept them).

Not only did you handle this all perfectly, you entertained all of us, probably many thousands of readers, or more :)

She definitely made herself look like a twat. You should talk to the PTA person again, as they don't want her out in the community representing the PTA and school and behaving like that to anyone. PTAs rely on donations from the community and if they let someone who's a batshit crazy narcissist represent them it will damage them.
