Cheeky Fucker Neighbours !

prettypetal · 18/10/2017 13:07

Don’t get me wrong I’m a lovely neighbour, if I can help my neighbours out anyway that I can I do. Next door have had some work done on their house, they had a skip on their drive which meant no room for both their dustbins, so whilst the skip was there they put both their big green & black dustbin on my drive ( which was totally fine ) we get on & logically it made sense ( I didn’t expect them to knock & ask if it was ok ) as my drive isn’t being used as I have no car & like I said I’m not unreasonable & logically of course this made sense as there isn’t anywhere else they could have put them except the pavement ( which is clear for me to see ) Work to the house has now finished, the skip has gone, bin men have been & emptied bins today, I put the bins out last night ( which I put theirs out too if they haven’t already done so ( and they do the same for me which is handy ) it’s just a case of who does it first does both bins & this includes bringing in bins back to original place. Like I said absolutely no dramas re this in the past. Well today they have been out & brought both their empty bins & plonked them back on my drive ! My side living room window looks onto my drive & it ain’t pretty looking at 4 huge bins 😡 I usually move my 2 bins further up my drive so that they aren’t visible out of my window but now I can’t do that because theirs are there. They have had extensive work done to their house ( extensions ) so room is tight in their garden but thats not my problem. So basically their house looks all pretty with no big horrible smelly dirty bins in the front garden on their micro drive ( my house is really pretty too) but now I’m left with the view of a line of 4 big smelly dirty bins from my side living room window. I want to go out & manoeuvre the bins around their cars back onto their micro drive but worry that I will look pathetic. Like I said it really wasn’t an issue at all them putting the bins there whilst they had the skip as it was totally a logical thing to do, but I presumed that when they brought the bjns back in from being emptied, that they would put them back in the tiny space on their drive where they always have been! The cheeky fuckers are now thinking it’s totally ok to just try to plonk them on my drive for eternity aren’t they???

Lovely diagram. I would get a couple of nice ready planted patio pots and put them in the space facing your window. That will give you something nice to look out onto from your side window and prevent them putting their bins there. Sorted Flowers

WishingOnABar · 19/10/2017 21:52

Would definitely second the suggestion of sticking some lovely big planters of flowers there to stop them trying to claim it as their own

LineysRun · 19/10/2017 21:55

I need a pre-extension diagram for comparative purposes.

fairyofallthings · 19/10/2017 21:57

go and put them back on their drive. Repeat as necessary until the CFN gets the message.

prettypetal · 19/10/2017 21:57

@Tamatoa I’m pretty sure that if they thought they owned part of the drive they would have had yet another extension. Thank you again for all your kind comments re my diagram ... very kind of you all to say that you enjoyed it Flowers P.S neighbourly dispute diagrams ARE the best!

Diagram deserves a special mumsnet award ! What is it with all the cheeky fuckers around lately eh?!

Tamatoa · 19/10/2017 22:01

I need a diagram of the polystyrene trap. Also OP, I'm sensing you are as petty as me of a similar disposition to me, so can I suggest booby trapping your bin handles with a clear, greasy substance? Vaseline mayhaps?

fairyofallthings · 19/10/2017 22:02

Why do we never have the fun of CFNs turning up on MN to complain about their CFN who said the bins could go on their drive and has no changed her mind?!

prettypetal · 19/10/2017 22:03

Choking with laughter trying to scoff my spag bol here Grin

bellasuewow · 19/10/2017 22:04

Your diagram is amazing but I personally think that the fact that you left a polystyrene trap for them makes you a legend of mumsnet as well as counter surveillance.

prettypetal · 19/10/2017 22:04

Mumsnet need a new topic selection ‘ CFN ‘ and ahem... of course me here will do the diagrams to show my community spirit

Better still... anti vandal paint on THEIR bin handles....?
fiendish laugh....

londonrach · 19/10/2017 22:10

Love the extra bits on the diagram like the pretty flowers. Am i right in reading the diagram that their extension goes to the end of their land. You need a fence

readyforno2 · 19/10/2017 22:11

Love your diagram op, have the CFL said anything yet?

TheMightyMing · 19/10/2017 22:11

Diagram porn! The best !!!! Piss takers in the extreme.

I'm still smarting at the fact that we ordered fence panels and when they were delivered the neighbour decided to replace them with the 'good side' facing them. He paid half but he's a tight bastard it was like we were asking him for thousands!

readyforno2 · 19/10/2017 22:11

Cfn. Fucking autocorrect.

youngaleksa · 19/10/2017 22:12

The diagram is really inspiring @prettypetal ! I am very new to MN, but will try to think of incorporating a diagram into every thread I start from now on.
Need to get me a nice set of colour sharpies.

Pouncival · 19/10/2017 22:13

terrific diagram. love the eyebrows imprint

WishingOnABar · 19/10/2017 22:14

All joking aside, I definitely think if they didnt bother to ask if they could put their bins there to begin with then they partially think they are entitled to your space purely because they have less. I would consider establishing a boundary line, either a temporary planter or a permanent fence

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/10/2017 22:19

I would put a fence up op.

I agree with Elsie

Put up a fence - razor wire - electrified.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 19/10/2017 22:21

Your diagram is a Thing of Beauty!I particularly like your eyebrow marks on the window. Are they like those greasy wing marks that get left when a pigeon flies into the glass?

TroelsLovesSquinkies · 19/10/2017 22:26

You get extra marks for your use of colour on your diagram. Well done.
I'm now waiting for bin day in 2 weeks to see if they keep them on their own bit of drive.

ApocalypseNowt · 19/10/2017 22:26

THAT DIAGRAM IS EVERYTHING!

Thank you so much OP! You have put a much needed smile on my face. Grin

thenightsky · 19/10/2017 22:27

I don't really get this... you moved their bins back and they haven't complained or attempted to move them back onto your drive? Where is the 'war'?
