I've never liked Corden. Too try hard. I think he was going for the Ricky Gervais shock-humour effect (ala Golden Globes) but missed the mark spectacularly.

On another note, I watched last night's SNL 'Film Panel' clip on YouTube about HW and thought it was hilarious. Maybe I'm a hypocrite? Maybe because the cast was all women I thought they had a right to make a skit out of it? Maybe it's because Kate McKinnon can do no wrong? Who knows.

Absolutely disgusting and my opinion of corden has completely changed in light of this. I quite liked him before. Ugh. Not now, just appalling. How DARE he make those women's experience into a joke? Abhorrent.

It's depressing that he obviously would have been aiming for the night to be a success for him, and he must have done a little risk assessment in his head beforehand and came to the conclusion that:

1. more people would laugh than groan; and

2. the jokes were sufficiently funny to take the risk.

The only reason he thought either of those two things were true is because he was relying on the rampant misogyny of the industry.

He has always been an arrogant little prick. He has been called out on it several times but hopefully this will be the time everyone will realise he has gone too far.

I've always really liked James Corden. This is just so shit of him - I'm so disappointed. I thought he was better than this.

I was always amazed that America took to him in the first place. Other than being a good comedy writer, I never rated him.

How stupid can someone be to make 'jokes' like that. I never liked him but hadn't previously found him to be offensive. The only good thing that may come out of it is that it is so crass and tasteless that it's getting a lot of bad publicity. Maybe it will make other people think a bit more and make 'rape' jokes and the like as unacceptable as race jokes. I hope so anyway.

There was a thread a little while ago about JIMMY CARR making jokes about rape which was interesting.

I have always liked him too and was really enjoying the stuff he was doing in the US. Then he does this shit. It's so insulting and insensitive I can't believe he did it.
