I went to a funeral today.
open coffin at home.
People were filing past the coffin to pay their respects when someone decided they wanted to get to the crem in a hurry.
Cue pushing and shoving and the coffin almost fell of the stand. Saved by the mans wife!
Also random women wailing. Seriously no
Need.

I've seen people dressed like that at a few funerals...I don't know what they're thinking. Black trousers or black skirt of a reasonable length and a dark top. Is that really so difficult?

A recent one where the funeral was all about the deceased (second) wife. His sons got 1 mention and his grandson wasn't mentioned at all. Really shocking and very uncomfortable.

I was at the wake. A relative walked in the lounge and unhooked a large clock from the wall. Saying "she wanted me to have this" Also divvying up the lady's possessions at the funeral.
Another funeral. The widower getting the adult family to meet at the cemetery. Walking up with a carrier bag, containing DH mother's ashes and pulling out a small gardening spade
. Digging a hole and attempting to pour the ashes into the grave. Deep in winter. Wind blowing and blew the ashes all over the rest of us. The lady was a devout Catholic. She had left a good sum in her will. The cost of opening the grave respectfully £150.

My mums went to a funeral and said it was a lovely service.
The grandkids released doves and one of them shit all over the widow!
She burst out laughing and said to the grandkids well your granda was always a bastard. Some things never change. And carried on.
