To hate the laughing at "lower class" people on here?

I know it gets disguised as laughing at certain children's names, phrases, etc, but there is a lot of threads on MN that is really about laughing at poorer people. Hate it.

I don't think they are on mumsnet but my manager is totally Hyacinth Bucket. Tells everyone at least once a week that they live in the same village as a senior politician. They're also hugely concerned with job title and where people fit in the organisations hierarchy.
They 'inherited' me as part of a restructure so do squirm when I speak directly to an executive member of staff without what they see as the appropriate deference (i.e. I don't kiss arse constantly).
I have no idea where I fit class wise. However I come from a family which has had barely anything but we've all taken huge interest in learning, art, culture and music.

The working/lower class are now called 'proletariat'.
