This has probably been done a million times but I'm curious.

Would also like to know your reasons why.

Everyone says I'm both in the wrong era. Sounds so clique but I love Bowie and Dylan hense my username

Are you an elastica fan?

Deathraystare · 03/10/2017 10:49

Voivod. Piggy was such a clever guitarist.
Living Colour. Corey Blover has the most beautiful voice, and Mick Jagger played harmonica on their debut album.
Black Flag. Rollins is the angriest man alive
Dead Kennedys. Especially Frankenchrist.

And of course, Faith No More. Mike Patton has the most versatile voice in any genre of music.

Yes to all these. I think iving Color were very underrated.

Alice in Chains- so happy pp like them, I have only met 1 other person who does!
I watched Singles because of them.

Pearl Jam, Johnny Cash, Nirvana, WASP, Free, The Weeknd.

Also just love the song Nights in White Satin, even my cat wails to it.

DanHumphreyIsA · 03/10/2017 12:16

Oh and System of a Down, their songs make me happy and sad at the same time

Mamabear4180 · 03/10/2017 12:33

Pink Floyd-dark side of the moon particularly (Favourite band of all time, Breathe is my favourite track)
Florence and the machine (massive fan, all her stuff)
London Grammar (all I listen to these days)
Kings of Leon
Grimes
SBTRKT
Elton John
The rolling stones
Billy Joel-piano man
Chris Isaac
Billy Ocean- Caribbean queen
The eagles
Jon Secada-just another day
Sting-desert rose

There's loads more but these are the ones I listen to the most. I don't even know why. I've always liked Elton John especially Rocket man. It reminds me of a trip to Florida's Kennedy space centre too. Piano man is chilling and so sad. London Grammar has a lovely sound, nightcall is my favourite. Caribbean queen makes me happy!

LadyWire · 03/10/2017 18:34

RJnomore1 I love Elastica's first album

FloofyDoof · 03/10/2017 19:24

Mike Patton is my one true love so Faith No More, Mr Bungle, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom etc. He's just so wonderfully batshit.

Also Opeth, Godspeed you! Black Emperor, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen.

I love iron Maiden.

Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, RATM, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Queens of the Stone Age, The Distillers, Misfits, Clutch, Baroness, pixies, Nick Cave, Placebo, the Prodigy, Deftones, Foo Fighters, Gojira. I have millions of second favourites!

coconutwater1 · 03/10/2017 19:51

Used to be big fan of Van Halen..(only with Diamond Dave)

But others through the years,

Rush, first saw them on the Signals tour
Kiss, how catchy are the songs great showmanship esp from Paul S
Foo Fighters of course
Rammstein, Till is a fantastic front man
Pearl Jam, Eddie, what a voice
AC/DC say no more
White Lion (a phase, what was I thinking)
Y&T
A bit of Def Leppard, On Through The Night a great first album

Have a liking for 70's disco, however the best of the lot (better than even Elvis...)

..........Led Zeppelin still the most played music in my house

Corcory · 03/10/2017 21:11

Love the voice of Sally Barker - who you might say. Has been around for years, first saw her over 20 years ago as lead singer to the Poozies, an all girl folk band. Came runner up on the BBC 2014 'Voice'. Made Tom Jones cry. Please listen, just gorgeous.

SureIusedtobetaller · 03/10/2017 21:21

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Sad
10,000 Maniacs
Lots of rocky stuff. Like Haim a lot and the 1975 are good too.

justinelibertine · 03/10/2017 23:07

@RJnomore1 no, it's a manics term.
I do like Elastica just not a 'fan' so not sure if they used that phrase.

Although Justine Frischman used to be in an early version of Suede.

DoctorTwo · 04/10/2017 17:45

Blimey @Deathraystare, nobody ever agrees with my exquisite taste in music! So thank you.

BlackPepperCrab · 04/10/2017 17:48

Tom Waits! Grapefruit Moon is probably my favourite song ever and there's just something about his music that draws me to it.
