Have you read a thread that has really stayed with you?

I always think of the foster mum, who sadly passed away. She was looking after lovely ladybird (I think that is what she called her) and her posts made me laugh and pulled at my heartstrings. I did feel utterly heartbroken when I read she had passed on and she truly has inspired me to go into foster caring in later years.

I think about the poster who was pregnant and found out about her DP having an affair, after he was in hospital because of a car crash. I wonder how she is getting on and hope she is doing well.

Whenever I think about the poster who accidentally took the case of prosecco (was it prosecco?!) and the following Christmas, she was given a single bottle only, I really chuckle.

I remember MultipleMama, with a huge family including two sets of twins, who turned out to be a troll. Looked as though she drew a lot of people into her threads though - lots of quite emotive topics .

I also remember Adorably, who was a very calm and dignified poster in the process of exiting an abusive marriage and a manipulative husband. I hope things worked out for her.

I reached out to the guy who's wife was making his life hell ... undiagnosed OCD etc ... after seeing the above post as I kept in touch with him for a while after, as I was also horrified by his posts.

So in reply to the and the really sad post from the man who's partner had undiagnosed OCD/other issues and was making life hell for him and their young DS. I really do wonder if he's okay. He was supposed to be getting away from her. amongst others, he's told me to let you know he's doing good. He's no longer living with her (thank goodness) and sees his boy 4 days a week at his new place

Portofino was definitely banned. I was on a MN splinter forum with her and saw her true colours, so I'm not remotely surprised HQ gave her the chop.

I marked the card of one of the posters mentioned when she completely ignored my practical, affordable and downright sensible solution to the issue she'd posted about. Probably because it wouldn't require intervention from well-intentioned MNers the other side of the country (I lived near her and knew damn well which shops were open over Christmas ).

Very sorry to hear about Bonsoir. She and I are chalk and cheese, but I liked her posts very much.

Scorps, SBXH left her when pregnant iirc. And another lp (possibly from the West Country) whose SBXH was living it up in Thailand, her names on the tip of my tongue. I'm sure she got barred or told off and never returned.

Custardo was funny. The last time I recall her on a thread she was raging about the Tories.

Misdee, OJ, emins thread with the withdrawal in her foster child was so humbling.

Miaalexandrasmummy.....she wrote so beautifully about the loss of her DD Mia. I often think about her. I'm planning to attend one of the Mia Fests one day that they've set up in her memory. Such a wonderful family.

MrsMartin, I don't actually think about her, I was just reminded of her the other day. She was a skin care guru, worked for QVC, I think. But she was always going on about her lack of wrinkles, and amazing skin and hair. Turned out she was twenty-fucking-four. Who doesn't have amazing skin at 24?
