Have you read a thread that has really stayed with you?

I always think of the foster mum, who sadly passed away. She was looking after lovely ladybird (I think that is what she called her) and her posts made me laugh and pulled at my heartstrings. I did feel utterly heartbroken when I read she had passed on and she truly has inspired me to go into foster caring in later years.

I think about the poster who was pregnant and found out about her DP having an affair, after he was in hospital because of a car crash. I wonder how she is getting on and hope she is doing well.

Whenever I think about the poster who accidentally took the case of prosecco (was it prosecco?!) and the following Christmas, she was given a single bottle only, I really chuckle.

I'm still very sad to hear about Bonsoir .

If there is anyone on here who knows her in RL, please could they pass on my best wishes to her. Flowers I know we only met here, in text, but - even so - she's a thread in my life, and the connection is real; I wish her well.

sminkypinky · 29/09/2017 13:23

Another one who wonders what happened to Ophelia Rose.

There was another poster around the same time, Tomatoplantproject her husband had an affair and was pretty awful to her afterwards. I always got the impression from her posts that she was really strong and would end up so much better off without him in the end, I hope she's doing well now.

ErrolTheDragon · 29/09/2017 13:56

Ah, apparently Honeydragon wasn't banned; she's stopped posting because of frustration with the site.

Ah, thanks - a shame for the rest of us but at least understandable

GhostCurry · 29/09/2017 19:59

I'm not sure if she has been mentioned already on here, as I don't remember the poster's name. But she posted a photograph of her absolutely buautiful smiling daughter, dark haired and about 2 or 3, who had tragically passed away. It was such a lovely, lovely photograph and I think about them both all the time.

QueenoftheAndals · 29/09/2017 20:16

I wish the millionaire twentysomething who was chartering private jets, giving birth at the Portland and moving to the Cotswalds would post again. She was hilarious.

SparePantsAndLego · 29/09/2017 21:09

I often think of TikTok. Her wise words helped me to stop being neurotic about breastfeeding and enjoy it! I haven't seen her around, but then nearly seven years on I'm not on the breastfeeding threads.

TheDayIBroke · 30/09/2017 00:38

A poster named Pink something. I think she name changed but I really felt so bad for her, she had horrid in-laws who were beyond vile about her children who had been born sleeping. Her posts on their treatment of her was quite astounding. She had been through such unimaginable pain. Flowers Flowers

Skybluesapphire is the lady whose DH upped sticks and got together with his best friend's wife. Her miniSky really was affected by her father's lack of parenting. Flowers

The poster from Maine in USA whose MIL wouldn't look after her son whilst she went to have a scan. She name changed a lot. Her MIL wasn't nice.

The poster whose DM was fighting her for her firstborn DS. The mother was awful, and it transpired that she was in the police. I hope the poster managed to get herself and her son away from the DM's clutches.

I apparently am obsessed with food. When I make brownies, i think of suzywong. Ditto for lemon cake and Marslady. Jasonthunderpants and his crazy obsession with the number of red bell peppers in his mixed bag.

I also think frequently of SolidGoldBrass, she was a revelation when I was going through my divorce and I remind myself frequently of things she told me to remember about myself, who I am and what I deserve in this world.

ExpatinScotland crosses my mind because she's a Texan and I live in Texas. When I do things like buy black currant jam, for some reason. Expat, I promise I'm not a crazy weirdo. Or rather, I promise I'm not the wrong sort of crazy weirdo.

And I think of zombie Flowers

wingerkite · 30/09/2017 08:00

Bit of a random one but there was a poster called Zaurak who had a baby boy around the similar time I had my dd, she was on the sleep boards a lot, as was I but her baby was waking every 45 mins for months and months and they couldn't find out why, she sounded at the end of her tether and I think lived abroad? I always wondered if things got resolved.

GlitterGlassEye · 30/09/2017 08:26

Yep ^ nasty.

shrunkenhead · 30/09/2017 09:52

I think about LostJennyWren a lot and wonder if she sorted things out for her little boy, or whether she's still with us (it would be lovely to hear that she is) as remember her saying she didn't have long to live...
And the drug withdrawal baby story was just so so sad. I'm rubbish at noting names but their stories stay with me.

Thingvellir · 30/09/2017 09:53

Not a serious one, but the OP whose house was full of spiders. I think about her (and the photos she posted that can't be unseen Shock) every time I spot a spider in my house (so a lot at this time of year).

I lost track of her thread, hope she got rid of them without actually following all the advice telling her to burn the house down Wink
