Have you read a thread that has really stayed with you?

I always think of the foster mum, who sadly passed away. She was looking after lovely ladybird (I think that is what she called her) and her posts made me laugh and pulled at my heartstrings. I did feel utterly heartbroken when I read she had passed on and she truly has inspired me to go into foster caring in later years.

I think about the poster who was pregnant and found out about her DP having an affair, after he was in hospital because of a car crash. I wonder how she is getting on and hope she is doing well.

Whenever I think about the poster who accidentally took the case of prosecco (was it prosecco?!) and the following Christmas, she was given a single bottle only, I really chuckle.

Hecate - always felt we had some similar life experiences and that I was a few years behind her. Would love to have been able to interact with her more.

Ghostspirit. Just want to know they're okay.

The one who turned out NOT to be miraculously living in a tiny flat in the centre of London and perfectly living the dream despite sharing a room.... I was fascinated.

marriedinwhite and bobochic just for pure interest!

Lady reasonably wealthy with a housekeeper in England who was an editor or author and used to lecture at uni... I tbink...wanted to raise state school entrance to oxbridge. But I may have mixed details up. Fascinated by her posts tbough and can't recall the name!

TobleroneBoo · 27/09/2017 07:15

I don't really post on many threads, but I posted on one about a girl who had just found out she was pregnant and her partner was awful to her. She fled to her parents in South Africa and her friend helped from here selling her car etc

It was only this year and she hasn't updated for a while, but I always wonder how she is

G1raffe · 27/09/2017 07:16

Oh and the one that owned a bookshop. We had babies at the same time and I loved reading what she was upto. Used to take the baby into he bookshop?

SandysMam · 27/09/2017 07:18

I think of SurreyTimes and how he is getting on being a giant Bell End.

Buggeritimgettingup · 27/09/2017 07:20

A recent one the girl who was escaping to uni a couple of weeks ago (her parents were bike to her and took her stuff away before hand) I've tried to search but can't find if she made it

Wasn't that one a troll? Unless I'm thinking of a different thread along similar lines.

bambambini · 27/09/2017 07:30

Poster (called solonow or something) who had a huge thread when her husband had an affair and left for the ow. She had 3 young children and mumsnet helped her through the first months. Always wonder how she's doing now.

Ladyofthemanor - just fascinated that someone like that existed

Getorfmoiland anf Fabbychic

Blankscreen · 27/09/2017 07:32

I often think about Trazzletoes and poor little Joseph's fight with cancer. I remember reading her post with such hope and then the unthinkable happended. It so so sad.

annandale · 27/09/2017 07:33

Oh I think of Kateandthegirls too Heather. Hope she is OK.

I miss custardo telling it like it was, especially now I finally have a teenager.

I think about expat'so life a lot, glad she is still here.

I miss bobochic a bit but she used to get a lot of disbelieving responses so not surprised she has gone.

Still think about Aloha sometimes. Her advice was always good.

Snap8TheCat · 27/09/2017 07:33

Atyourcervix I miss seeing that name.

QOD · 27/09/2017 07:37

The lady whose partner committed suicide over new year is happy and well. Hopefully she’ll come and tell her tale
It makes me smile

I miss shiney - think she’s still
Here but name changes ruin me lol

TheCatsMother99 · 27/09/2017 07:49

I was thinking about Cattheifkeith just the other day.

Shakey15000 · 27/09/2017 07:51

Does anyone remember a poster last year whose H was abusive emotionally and financially (if I recall) and she posted for advice. I know that's not a lot to go on, have a feeling her username began with a "H"

She was encouraged to let her (lovely) son and his partner know, though she could only ring him when "walking the dog" as I think the H worked from home? Lovely son and partner were, upset and were going to help OP get her ducks in a row covertly.

Always hoped she'd escaped safely and was now living a lovely peaceful life.

CamperVamp · 27/09/2017 08:07

I am glad MTT (the one who lost her DH to suicide on Boxing Day, I think) is doing OK. I would love to hear more.

I hope the woman who found viagra in a sports bag in the garage has found freedom from her gas lighting, emotionally abusive, sex-worker-engaged man.

I wonder how the man with the daughter in Poland is doing.

And the woman whose DH wanted to emigrate to Australia, and she didn't, but he engineered a holiday to validate their visas, and there was a possibility he could keep the kids there if they stayed.

And I wonder what happened on the holiday of the woman whose husband offloaded hers and the kids mountain bikes in favour of a newly invited work friend's road bike so that they could go off road biking together!

RunningOutOfCharge · 27/09/2017 08:10

Do you know her qod ? Hope she sees this?

Only1scoop · 27/09/2017 08:11

Biscuits family and her little crumbs

The other 'red head' lady who was poorly and posted on her threads and about same time.

Zombie and Z lad and lass.

Bluntness100 · 27/09/2017 08:16

I don’t think about individual posters, in fact I seldom notice the name of who is posting, but some threads stay with me, it’s usually the ones where there is some form of ethical dilemma or something horrid happening like the woman whose husband was anally raping her.

Mrsknackered · 27/09/2017 08:18

I've thought about the family of the man with the daughter in Poland a fair bit too.

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 27/09/2017 08:21

I'm shit with names, but there's a few;
Like you, I think of that funny, kind lady who was fostering that poor baby. It sounds dramatic but reading her posts made me want to be a better person.
Somerville, she was so brave and I loved reading her thread and all the developments.
The poster who started seeing her gardener.
Very vague, but there was a certain lady who discovered her 'D'P was cheating on her, I believe through seeing a text pop up. He was stepfather to her children and my heart broke for her, she was so clearly devastated.

SinglePringle · 27/09/2017 08:23

BupcakesandBunting used to make me laugh.

LaQueen although I think she's still here under a different name (but not as frequently).

Dittany.

Pagwatch and her beautiful dog / house.

PlatformNineAndThreeQuarters · 27/09/2017 08:27

The poster with the daughter in Poland I think was called Tedrekastra or something like that. The thread is full now but he did confirm a second DNA test was done and it's definitely his daughter but dunno what happened with other relatives in the end

AlexaAmbidextra · 27/09/2017 08:32

I reread the foster mum's thread recently. It was so beautiful and so very sad that she died.
Also, there was one from last year when the husband was a scarily controlling arse who sabotaged their contraception so she secretly went on the pill. I didn't believe she would ever leave him but I wonder how she is now.

FoxyinherRoxy · 27/09/2017 08:32

I don’t get involved enough these days for anyone to stick - too many trolls and User12345667s.

I think about Lulumama, Klaw and Marslady. The MEs and Douglas who were around when I joined PG with DC4 (now 10) and the lovely ladies from the June AN thread. Some have become RL friends. I miss The Second Coming on here. Lots of the posters with something to say of interest have gone or are no longer recognisable. It’s a worse place for it.

FoxyinherRoxy · 27/09/2017 08:33

That should say ‘the MWs and doulas’ auto correct is a cock.
