Have you read a thread that has really stayed with you?

I always think of the foster mum, who sadly passed away. She was looking after lovely ladybird (I think that is what she called her) and her posts made me laugh and pulled at my heartstrings. I did feel utterly heartbroken when I read she had passed on and she truly has inspired me to go into foster caring in later years.

I think about the poster who was pregnant and found out about her DP having an affair, after he was in hospital because of a car crash. I wonder how she is getting on and hope she is doing well.

Whenever I think about the poster who accidentally took the case of prosecco (was it prosecco?!) and the following Christmas, she was given a single bottle only, I really chuckle.

@cupofteaplease .. lovely to hear things are well with you . I knew Beatrice was 6 because she was the same age as my son who has sn . While you were going through your life with Bea I was going through similar with my son . Your story had a profound effect on me and I always remember a life filled with love is worth living .. I will never forget you or her , I think of her often . X

The poster who got back from work to literally find her house half empty and her "DH" gone with no explanation. She was absolutely pole-axed by it obviously, and then within quick succession she discovered (a) he'd left her for OW who (b) was pregnant and (c) OP was pregnant herself!

This was so extreme that she got a massive amount of really nasty troll-hunting which was awful, but it became clear that it was all absolutely real. She had a little boy and last time I remember being on a thread was doing really well, well rid of the bastard ex. Hopefully they are still doing well.

KreecherLivesUpstairs - she had a fascinating life moving from country to country with her DH, who was a teacher in international schools, and their enchanting sounding DD. Who can forget Yum Yum Frankie when they were in Belgium? Grin

I thought of Rinders recently. And Edgar - is she still around? It does tend to be the tragic stories that stay with you. I remember a poster called Louise who lost her baby at term.

Although there was one ordinary chat thread where everyone assumed the poster was a troll and took the piss and she got upset - and then somebody did some digging and found out she was real and very young. Her boyfriend worked in Wetherspoons as a chef. She pops into my head from time to time - can't remember the name.

I never actually realized that Bupcakes and Marmalade were the same person - shows how observant I am.

Did scottishmummy and Fabbychic get banned in the end?

When I wasn’t well I was on the mental health boards so got involved in her story. I was shocked and really, really cried when her husband came on to say she had committed suicide. It’s stuck with me. She was brave.

Kittyfourpaws whose husband had some kind of memory loss and his behaviour changed. Her sister muscled her way into doctors' and consultants' meetings, interfered horrendously and refused to stop. The husband wouldn't stop the sister interferring either. I hope she's okay.

I remember when it all hit the fan for bran. I hope she and her children are well, as I saw no updates, I think all the threads were pulled.

And kittywise. She had lots of gorgeous children, but her husband was really not very nice. She never had any threads of her own, but little bits got mentioned here and there, and it sounded like a very unhappy life.

I think kreecher may have returned to UK some years ago, but she namechanged and I can't keep.track these days.

The Australian one did come back (I p o m?) I think they separated.

Yes, she did return to the UK and she did NC - but I now can't remember what her new name was ..... but then she suddenly disappeared, or maybe NCd again? I liked her, she was fun.

I just wanted to give Flowers to everyone who has mentioned lostjennywren as if you are anything like me there is not a day goes by that I don't think of her and her family. I had not long bad a baby at the time and was having a few health issues. It was a case of reading the wrong thing at the wrong time. The desperation in her writing was just awful.
