Ordered 2 sofas to be delivered today, paid extra for a 2-6 slot. They turned up at 12.37!! Saw them pulling out of our road as I came back from walking the dog. Then left a voicemail telling me my delivery wouldn't happen today. Despite me paying for a certain slot they gave me a slot of 1-3. They were still bloody outside this! The delivery driver is apparently 'unwilling' to return so no sofas.

Old sofas are gone and customer services 'get where I'm coming from' but can't tell the driver to come back when he should have been here either for their slot or the slot I paid for and they'll discuss any compensation for the hassle when I've received the sofas. How I stayed calm I don't know. Can't have a midweek slot as we both work so no sofas for 2 fucking weeks!!!

Aibu to think Argos are utterly shoddy both with their delivery services and customer services?

OP, i get that you're stressed and fed up but please please post the sorry saga on their FB page , especially the appalling false accusation of aggression that was nothing more than a self-serving, blatant lie from the delivery driver. And tweet them too. Please.
Otherwise nothing whatsoever will be done, you'll get the amount you paid for the timed delivery refunded but that's it.

I had a nightmare with Argos a few years back. Their website kept crashing & told me I hadn't checked my order out. No confirmation email or order number. 3 days later 2 £300 deliveries arrived at my husbands work. They collected the duplicate order. It the refund would be 14 days. This was 2 weeks before Christmas & I had other stuff to order so I was desperate for the money back. Customer service were all my hands are tied, lessons learned shit but no bloody help
In the end I emailed the managing director & his pa had to ring me. She was fab. Got my money sent back straight away plus compensation. I just looked & I don't have her email anymore but sometimes starting T the top works best. 2 weeks is not acceptable to wait for your sofas. You paid for a time slot. They failed in their delivery so they should be trying to help you by delivering either one evening this week or at the very worst next Saturday. Fuckers.
