Do your family, friends, work colleagues, anyone ever discuss Brexit anymore?

My family don't. None of my friends are interested. Nor are my work colleagues.

Was wondering if it ever comes up in anyone else's conversations.

You put yourself forward in this thread as spokesperson for leave ......
And
Because it seems to me, as the main proponent of leave on this thread

WyclefJohn - where did you get that from? I think you are a tad confused.

Elendon · 18/09/2017 16:54

Why are you on this thread then @FaithHopeCharityDesperation

Perhaps it's to use the word 'Nutter'

Bring something positive to the discussion instead of just insults.

Show us why leaving is a good thing.

WyclefJohn · 18/09/2017 17:25

Did I bollocks 'put myself forward as the spokesperson for Leave'

Ok, I should rephrase to say over the past few pages, you have been the most vocal proponent of Leave.

Nutter.

Not so much now. It will probably pick up again nearer the time. It's kind of "yesterday's news", and indeed isn't really "news" at all, because nothing can be agreed between the two sides. The EU want Britain to pay huge amounts of money for a less favourable situation, and Britain doesn't want to pay.

As an alternative to the cardiologist metaphor I liken Brexit to a surgeon who has started amputating a leg and when told that he is amputating the wrong leg responds "well I may as well carry on as I've made the first incision." Brexit seems to be going ahead on that logic IMO.
