and where do they go????
My example: 10 days ago DS age 9 had a bath. He reappeared wrapped in his Disney Cars bath sheet (yes bit young for him but he still loves the towel) went to his room, reappeared in his pjs for a story. He didn't go downstairs. I read the story and then went to bathroom - no towel. Asked him where it was, and he looked blank but said he hung it up.
10 days later and despite extensive search of his room and upstairs there is no sign of it. It's not anywhere, really not. Even if he'd deliberately hidden it, which I'm sure he hasn't, we'd have found it as I know he did t go downstairs.
Now I know there will be a rational explanation but it's a big thing to 'lose' between two rooms, and we extended search to whole of upstairs. No doubt at some stage we'll smell the mildew Sad
Anyone else lost seemingly unloseable things? And did they ever reappear? So I feel less mad

ds1 managed to lose a library book when he was little. Searched everywhere for it but eventually had to confess to the library it was lost. Months later he toddled into the room holding said library book. I am not sure what was more aggravating - to lose the book in the first place or to never know where the darn thing had been.

I've lost two very normal and boring pyjama tops. They've not left the house I'm sure of it, but where the hell are they?

I once lost a lovely little silver and gold ring whilst on holiday in Greece with my parents - they'd bought it for me the year before as a GCSE passing pressie and I never took it off. Realised it was missing whilst we were in Preveza airport and searched high and le to no avail, flew home gutted.
A couple of days later as mum was working her way through the holiday washing a job I really appreciate now it's mine to do! and there was a chink chink chink coming from the washing machine. The ring was caught inside the integral bra bit of my swimming costume! It had obviously got caught as I was changing after our last swim in the pool - very lucky!! Smile

My iPod shuffle. I have looked EVERYWHERE for it. I'm not allowing myself another as I can use my phone but it's annoying. I lost a solitaire diamond ring and my fountain pen and found them while looking for the iPod.

I live on my own and still wonder how a cheap vegetable peeler that wasn't mine ended up in my knife drawer. It really freaked me out.

I think I've lost a cameo pin that was my grandmother's - but I'm hoping I've put it somewhere super safe in the house and forgotten! I got a bit paranoid about valuables after my parents were burgled recently, so I think/hope I've just hidden it somewhere! Also lost a t-shirt and bra, I suspect DH has put them away somewhere mad.

I used to wear a particular necklace a lot and really wanted to wear it for my wedding so I took it off and put it in a safe place. I knew exactly where I'd put it but, come the wedding, it had disappeared, never to be seen again. Eighteen years on it still bugs me

Literally 10 minutes ago... a small vegetable knife. It has completely disappeared off the face of the earth. I saw DH with it in his hand, he had peeled some spuds and was cutting them up, he then sliced an onion. It is nowhere to be found. Checked in all the usual places, veg peel recycling bin, kitchen bin, fridge, drawers, sink, cutlery tray, DH's pockets, you name it. It has simply vanished.
