AIBU to want Pat to die or does Eileen deserve some happiness?

Does anyone remember the succession of Tracey actresses? She'd say "I'm going oopsturs to plaaa me taaaapes" and would emerge a year later a totally different person!

I loved Vera and I loved Phyllis always chasing after Percy with her blue rinse.

Clawdy · 09/09/2017 10:07

I rather liked Roy's mum but she disappeared.

ManicUnicorn · 09/09/2017 10:10

Does anyone remember a storyline where Jack and Vera ended up looking after a dog one Christmas, they went to the Rovers for a drink and came home to find it had eaten the Turkey!😂😂 please tell me I didn't imagine this, it was sooooo funny!

There have been so many great one liners in Corrie.

'Oh look here come the rest of the village people', Gail to Eileen and Jason after they'd just found out Todd was gay is my favourite.

Whiterabbitears · 09/09/2017 10:12

I loved Jack and Very they loved each other despite their bickering.

Vera

whiterabbitears re. Michelle and the weird guy (dh says he used to be in Dream Team) I think it's an elaborate way of trying to split her and Robert up, so he can charge in and rescue her on a trusty white steed as he still wants her. The best thing that can come out of it will be that hopefully Maria will end up with a face like a slapped backside when she realises he's not at all interested in her. Sorry, I know I keep banging on about how much I hate drippy Maria. I'm getting a little obsessed.

Brilliant one liner from Blanche to Deirdre "Good looks are a curse, you and Ken should count yourselves lucky" Grin

CoolCarrie · 09/09/2017 17:32

I remember the water bed, reg and Maureen flooded the flat downstairs !

lidoshuffle · 09/09/2017 18:00

Blanche warning Simon of Postman Pat was a cracker too:

eddiemairswife · 09/09/2017 19:59

I've just watched the Postman Pat one. When did that delightful little boy start to become a surly misery?
I then went on to watch 'Blanche and Is Ken gay?' Why can't the present writers produce genuinely funny sustained scenes?

Bluetrews25 · 09/09/2017 21:16

I recall the waterbed with Reg, similar theme when the whirlpool bath that Les Battersby had fell through the ceiling (with Cilla? or Janice?) - I think?
Karma on Corrie?? Not if you are Tracy Barlow! Never really paid the price for killing that bloke! (Charlie??)
Are they really killing off Phelan? Soaps are so much better if you never read any spoilers or tv listings in advance!

alpineway · 09/09/2017 21:27

I didn't even like Simon as a child. Couldn't act then and just as bad now.

Whiterabbitears · 09/09/2017 22:17

Littlelion oh I see! So he doesn't really like Maria. All Maria ever seems to say is " hiya" , although do you remember that redonculous story line where she stalked Tyrone and Fizz because she was in love with Tyrone? She went all pyscho bitch and pretended to be his violent ex? That's been conveniently forgotten!

putonyourdancingshoes · 09/09/2017 23:26

I wish I could watch the tony and Carla episodes again! Loved the drama.

highinthesky · 14/09/2017 22:21

Just caught up on episodes in mid-August - and OMG I love Phelan! He's gone from crazy psychopath to a tormenting comedian. A real Jekyll and Hyde. I can see what the OP means now.
