AIBU to want Pat to die or does Eileen deserve some happiness?

Uncanny

^ Friendship with Kate, perhaps?

Glad to see that Carla's coming back, but then she's running out of new conquests on the street. Hey, if Rana's getting busy with Kate then perhaps Zidane might turn to Carla for comfort. Otherwise she's left with Norris, or Brian...or Ken Grin

ShatnersWig · 07/09/2017 08:14

I haven't watched it for approaching two years now. The cobbles without Emily Bishop just ain't right somehow. Sniff. Sob.

Crispsheets · 07/09/2017 08:17

It's going to get sad with Rita Sad

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 07/09/2017 08:21

I like checking out Eileen's wardrobe. She seems to shop at LTS like me and we have some identical shirts. I also use to have the same jumper that Deirdre wore in the famous Deirdre/Ken/Mike confrontation scene, I'm probably the only person in the country who remembers that scene for the C&A jumper.

Misssward · 07/09/2017 08:23

Think he plays a great part

Birdsgottafly · 07/09/2017 08:23

Adam Barlow will be straight on Carla, he wants in on the Factory's profits.

Peter and Toyah aren't solid enough, if she decides to meddle (over invested).

Pat's relationship with his Daughter is still all about him, he isn't becoming a better person.

He isn't particularly clever or devious, it's just the people around him are absolute knobheads.

Phil Mitchell is the only man for me.

HappenstanceMarmite · 07/09/2017 08:25

Eileen now resembles Dick Emery's vicar with those laughable choppers. Anna is a dreary whining dullard. Both give the impression of being much older than they actually are.

I miss the Tracy/Charlie the builder storyline 👌

highinthesky · 07/09/2017 08:31

I like Adam Barlow. Sneaky, devious...yet totally charming. Makes Todd look like Pope Francis.

BalthazarImpresario · 07/09/2017 08:31

Can Pat kill Michelle please.

ShowerGel9 · 07/09/2017 08:33

If pat let's Andy go, then where is Andys proof that pat has been holding him hostage?

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 07/09/2017 08:46

You lot are so funny. Love a good Corrie thread.

Maybe Carla will bring so good eye candy back with her! How amazing would that be?

Can we also start a petition to bring back Dr Carter 😍😍😍

I would love it if they aired old episodes from the glory days, with Hilda Ogden, Ena Sharples, Elsie Tanner etc

highinthesky · 07/09/2017 09:04

The writing in those days was far more poignant and realistic today. I think the scriptwriters these days have it spot on with the humour, they have the balance just right.

I still miss Blanche though.

Liiinoo · 07/09/2017 09:07

I clicked on this thread in some surprise as I have an acquaintance of this name and wondered what he was up to. Having read the thread I now want to start watching Corrie again. I wish they'd repeat some of the older episodes.

I also find myself warming to Pat despite Andy in the cellar, and I hate myself for it.

Best thing I've read on mumsnet for ages Smile

lidoshuffle · 07/09/2017 10:01

Corro needs another battle-axe like Blanche. The AA meeting scene was the best ever:

zukiecat · 07/09/2017 10:13

Hopefully Pat will take out Carla

Cannot stand her, I am enjoying Corrie without her

mumto2two · 07/09/2017 10:21

AA scene was an absolute classic. Talk about happy families. She reminds me of my MIL...as poor Peter said, is it any wonder I drink..Grin

Floellabumbags · 07/09/2017 10:36

Oh Blanche, she was a Corrie classic. That's where they've lost it, they've not got enough battleaxes.

tccat · 07/09/2017 10:39

And Blanche telling Dierdre she had to learn to find happiness in other people's misery or else she would have a lonely old age, classic 😂

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 07/09/2017 12:24

Oh Blanche. We was brilliant.

@SexLubeAndAFishSlice I completely forgot about that. 😂😂
