I am making a potato salad for a bbq tomorrow. Using jazzy new potatos, Mayonnaise, little bit of Dijon mustard, spring onions, dill and chives ontop (more for garnish really)

AIBU to bash up a few boiled eggs and throw them in aswell i think it would be yum!

I'd put them in for sure. You can't taste the egg as such but it gives it a certain je ne sais quoi. I also add boiled egg to fish pie.

dont want to put paprika on top putting that ontop of the coleslaw next to it on the table

Iranian 'salad Olivieh' is a potato salad containing egg, amongst other ingredients and is delicious! I did have to pluck up the courage to try it though, as eggs don't float my boat too much, but it's a lovely dish.

My recipe is.... potatoes with skins still on, mayonnaise and spring onion. Have no idea why you would stick eggs in there, then it wouldn't be a potato salad would it, it would be a potato and egg salad hahahaha

Bleeeurgh. Eggs spoil everything. Potato salad, fish pie and other dishes are fine as they are and don't need the revolting addition of eggs to gussy them up.

I always put eggs in a potato salad, and I don't even really like eggs. It's just what you do, isn't it? Otherwise it'd be like coleslaw without the carrots - just weird and wrong.

I do eggs too, boiled until only just hard, in the pan with the potatos. Crucially, mix in with potatos and mayo (and fried onion, if you're up for it) whilst everything is still warm, and loosen the mayo with a dribble of olive oil. Amazing.

Don't bacon it! Potato salad is one of the few decent foods the veggys can eat at a BBQ. And British bbqs are shit enough without starving
