To think that Lesley Garrett

Is the most irritating woman in the known universe and that she would be advised to move away from a kitchen with sharp knives and walk in freezers because the temptation might be too much for some people?

The most irritating woman ever for me has to be bloody Myleene Klass. Oh god she makes me want to scratch my own eyeballs whenever I see or hear her. Uchhhhhh!

I just don't understand the vitriol. Yes, she's a bit loud, but she isn't offensive.

So the people who know/have met Lesley several times say she is lovely, generous and friendly if slightly eccentric. Those who have seen an edited version of her on tv can't stand her.

I think she's lovely too, I don't care if she breaks out in song, it's who she is. At least she doesn't drag me down like miserable Ulrika who can barely crack a smile

I dint like sue Perkins, or her mate Mel. They make me cringe they're so twee. In fact I hate all slebs. Fodder for the hard of thinkingGrin

She seems like a nice woman to me. I wouldn't want to go on holiday with her or anything, she's a bit full-on for that, but I can't see that there's anything to hate about her. Confused Ok, she's quite loud, but I've never seen her say or do anything unkind.

I think she's ok and a lot of her showing off is tongue in cheek. These things are all staged, they probably tell her to do it.

I'm more annoyed by them calling Ulrika 'Eureka' and also quite irritated by how brittle and needy she seems to be. She was far more upset than a bit of undercooked lamb warranted in her first episode.

I cannot hear at the moment and when DH was watching Masterchef earlier in the week I asked him who the woman with the striped hair was. He told me it was Sarah Brightman and I have been staring and staring all week to try to understand how Sarah Brightman ended up looking like that.

It was only last night that a little bit of hearing came back and I could just hear Gregg saying "Lesley". DH maintains they are the same person.

Sue Perkins and that Mel one make me cringe a lot more than Lesley who actually has talent, unlike those two.

I read a couple of pages of this thread, thinking it was about Jayne MacDonald, and only just realised Ah yes, Lesley Garrett - she is the actual singer not the cruise ship karaoke one, right? Always confuse them two.

Hate cooking shows. And baking. Never watched this thing.

I like her. She's a great singer (not my taste but so what she's talented).
And she's a great cook.

Just watched MC on iPlayer.

I don't mind Lesley at all. To me she comes across as a typical bustling opera diva Grin
