Yes definitely! A family member sent me this and I don't know how to respond

She's been talking about FEMA camps being turned into concentration camps for about 10 years, which is something that Alex Jones has also said I think and would automatically make me sceptical, but on the other hand, she has also been talking about the "new world order" which are essentially wealthy individuals turning America into an authoritarian state and she's not been wrong there. Sad

....which is something that Alex Jones has also said....

Hey Ho.

What has this got to do with 45 by the way? (Straight question.)

Lweji · 28/08/2017 17:21

Apparently he trusts the experts on climate now. The worst for 500 years, it seems.

Who knew life could be so tough? Poor babies. (Vanity Fair article - long)

“What is off-putting about them,” one political veteran told me, “is they do not grasp their essential irrelevance. They think they are special.”

How many have the 'climate experts' roughly predicted will occur in this season?

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/08/2017 17:27

The video? I'm not sure - I think she's saying that trump is the realisation of the "new world order"'s plan and that the camps are part of the overall aim? But it's a bit wearying trying to have these conversations when it's things like that video that she wants to discuss!

lionheart · 28/08/2017 17:31

Odd.

Lweji · 28/08/2017 17:39

How many have the 'climate experts' roughly predicted will occur in this season?

I don't know.

I ran a graph the other day with the number of storms affecting the US and there was a generic trend towards an increase in number, but hardly noticeable regarding the worst categories.

Lweji · 28/08/2017 17:44

Here are some predictions, from June.

We can check them later in the year.

weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/2017-hurricane-season-forecast-atlantic-colorado-state-the-weather-company-may

"The 2017 Atlantic hurricane season is forecast to be more active than historical averages with regard to the number of named storms, according to the latest forecasts released by Colorado State University, the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration and The Weather Company, an IBM Business."

cozietoesie · 28/08/2017 17:49

That article is quite heavy, Lweji. However - it doesn't look too good does it?

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/08/2017 18:30

Not to pull a gorsuch, but gosh

Trump Associate Boasted That Moscow Business Deal ‘Will Get Donald Elected’

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/08/2017 18:31

WASHINGTON — A business associate of President Trump promised in 2015 to engineer a real estate deal with the aid of the president of Russia, Vladimir V. Putin, that he said would help Mr. Trump win the presidency.

The business associate, Felix Sater, wrote a series of emails to Mr. Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, in which he boasted about his ties to Mr. Putin and predicted that building a Trump Tower in Moscow would be a political boon to Mr. Trump’s candidacy.

“Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it,” Mr. Sater wrote in an email. “I will get all of Putins team to buy in on this, I will manage this process.”

cozietoesie · 28/08/2017 18:41

Dearie Me. I trust that this was reported to the FBI? Smile

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/08/2017 18:47

I would assume (and hope) that mueller is aware!

Trump: yes, we have no Steve Bannon
badbadhusky · 28/08/2017 18:52

Just watched that Panorama snippet. Trump describes the interviewer as "thick". Shock

badbadhusky · 28/08/2017 18:55

That Felix Sater has a big mouth. If he's really in the Mob, its amazing he hasn't donned concrete wellies for a dip in the Hudson yet. Same sort of showboating we see from Trump all the time, mind. Can you imagine Trump giving testimony? It would be an ordeal for his attorneys.

badbadhusky · 28/08/2017 18:56

In with the Mob...

Unbelievable

Maybe in the old days. Nowadays, things are somewhat topsy turvy.

cozietoesie · 28/08/2017 19:26

Who asked him the question? Smile

cozietoesie · 28/08/2017 19:34

Bluster.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/08/2017 19:41

I hope so.

Arpaio seeing what he can get

Pleadings assert Arpaio didn't ask Trump for a pardon.

This is presumably why the regular DOJ-run pardon process requires the beneficiary to acknowledge his guilt.

"In addition to the pardon I didn't ask for, I'm now determined to waste your time/$ unless the judiciary deletes my conviction." -Arpaio
