Same goes for me!

By using ‘a’ instead of ‘an’, are we saying this is a haitch-bomb? If so I refuse to be blown up by it.

I'm quite cheered by the fact that the president's lawyers appear as inept as all the other people he has nominated to positions of power and responsibility. Wink

The United States is considering, in addition to other options, stopping all trade with any country doing business with North Korea.

China?
Russia?

Obama's letter was a study in gentlemanly courtesy.

But I'd like to read the first one the wrote with his real thoughts and then shredded! Grin

^ my response was to Donnie's NK trade tweet. What a chump!

BiglyBadgers · 03/09/2017 18:23

Trump and his pals must be a tad nervous.

Considering how many Russian agents seem to have accidentally hit themselves repeatedly round the back of the head with blunt objects or thrown themselves out of windows recently, I would also be nervous in his position.

badbadhusky · 03/09/2017 18:35

Isn't swimming pool mishap eclipsing defenestration as the trendy new method of dispatch?

BiglyBadgers · 03/09/2017 19:02

I think slipping and shooting yourself in the back of the head quite popular too.

Perihelion · 03/09/2017 19:35

Can't remember which TV programme I watched recently about NK, but it shows that NK has many covert state businesses earning foreign currency. Particularly in Malaysia, but elsewhere too.

cozietoesie · 03/09/2017 20:44

I see they had Mattis make the latest statement.

BiglyBadgers · 03/09/2017 21:16

Here's a link to the Mattis statement

cozietoesie · 03/09/2017 21:27

....ironclad commitment to our allies......any attack, including Guam......not looking to the total annihilation of.....North Korea....(or words to that effect.)

cozietoesie · 03/09/2017 22:36

Well Thank Goodness the air traffic has finally calmed down now. I could hardly hear myself think for ten minutes there.

badbadhusky · 03/09/2017 22:40

DH commented earlier on Trump's tweet rate slowing (& commented that he's missing the peek behind the curtain into his cray-cray). What do we think is behind it? Trump disengaging because he's not getting adulation/positive strokes that he needs? The generals having a moderating effect? Anyone?

lionheart · 03/09/2017 22:49

Resources have been drying up?
Hand delivered Breitbart print-outs?
Bannon on hand for instant manipulation?

badbadhusky · 03/09/2017 22:55

He definitely didn't write those 3 consecutive NK tweets earlier without help. They were lucid (after a fashion) and accurately spelled.

badbadhusky · 03/09/2017 22:56

Bannon on hand for instant manipulation?

Someone upthread mentioned Kelly limiting access to the oval office.

cozietoesie · 03/09/2017 23:00

I 'think' that he's maybe doing a sort of 'sitting back' at the moment and leaving matters to his generals. This is fast becoming a military situation and he's a man who has never served. (But, frankly, your DH's views are as good as mine.)

badbadhusky · 03/09/2017 23:03

It's highly unlikely but possible that the penny's finally dropping about how out of his depth he is. Nah! That'd never happen.

cozietoesie · 03/09/2017 23:06

Everybody is out of their depth on this one. Sad

orlantina · 03/09/2017 23:11

Everybody is out of their depth on this one

It's like the Cuban missile crisis - except the boats are continuing to Cuba.

Would the USA really have fired on Russia?

NK knows that the USA can't attack NK.

cozietoesie · 03/09/2017 23:14

They're having to deal with Mattis now. He might.

CupFullOfSpiders · 03/09/2017 23:24

Did..really..did anyone else see the breaking news re NK/SK in BBC news channel that has since vanished? Can't find anything on BBC website, sky news or anywhere. Did I just dream it?
