Because I can think of no other earthly reason why DSs (all 16+) would need to spend upwards of 20 minutes under the shower. They are definitely not depilating as they'd all give Mr Tumnus a run for his money.

DH used to leave his room an utter pigsty as a teenager, until his mum snapped and tidied it while he was at school. Apparently coming back home to neatly stacked wank mags on the bedside table was a real wake up call.

I think they just like standing under the hot water too. DS2 spends ages in the shower but all evidence suggests he does his wanking elsewhere. If he was doing that in the shower too then he'd be needing a visit to the opticians.

Laiste at that sort of age, 20 minutes is probably 3 or 4 times. Then a 2 minute wash to tidy up.

to be fair, I can spend 20 minutes in the shower (and do often) doing nothing at all other than hair & body wash, just enjoying the time to myself not a euphemism

they might just be getting a bit of peace and quiet, or especially in winter, just enjoying a shower also not a euphemism

Twenty minutes sounds like a quick shower compared to DP. He would spend an hour and a half in there if he could. And he's definitely not wanking, he just stands in a trance with the water falling on his head. It drives me bonkers! He was the same as a child according to MIL - running himself baths at age 3.
