FlowersandFootball is exactly right. DH picked cheap, not verifiably able. in his defense, he did not have the weight of appeasing you lot on his shoulders, and just thought he could save a bob or two hundred. When we are about to sign paperwork that means our realtor (lovely lady - not picking on her) is going to make about $100,000 on the sale of our home, it does seem a pathetic amount to be skimping on.
I'm mortified that poor Ken is being maligned since he did not get hired therefore could not actually fail. In fact, I'm sure he would have (perhaps will still) succeed. Bastard safe lore does say that if you have had the thing drilled it does make it much more difficult to crack.
