thanks Lazydog good explanation. It is still a shedload of money though we have picked someone who we think will earn it well. Last house we sold, our realtor did the bare minimum; we found out why later when she put in a ridiculously low ball offer 'to help us out' - and for her family as the buyers! Live and learn.

This realtor is paying for staging, gardener, handyman and pictures/drone/video. For Broker's Open (the kick off day for realtors to come without their clients) she brings her (chef) DH who makes crepes to order, and serves mimosas. Sounds like quite a party. We are not invited, on pain of death.

Have you ever watched that programme I think it's called million dollar listings I think? Is it like that? "Love that programme!!

2017 just wow! Is it really hard to sell a property there? I'm really shocked by the level of enticements effort/ service put in.. Still way too much expense IMO.

ToldMy no, it is not hard to sell houses here right now - it is a seller's market since there are way more buyers than homes to be bought. The key for us is to get the most over asking price, and the most qualified buyers in a very short time. Crazy, but the current thinking is that you don't want to hold two open house weekends, because folks who see it and want it the first weekend can't wait another week, so will move on to try for something else. Buyers are writing begging letters with their offers, with why we should pick them. I hear. Haven't see it yet, but will keep you posted.

Thank you for the picture 2017 and just think it was treasure to someone or it wouldn't be there... my little one was born the same day as the curiosity rover so I have a near worthless to most people commerative coin but means the world to me.... as does the fact my son thinks curiosity sings happy birthday to him every year
