To report my neighbour to social services

Governoress86 · 09/08/2017 18:52

I made a thread about my neighbour as we don't get on.

However the grandson has 2 little kiddies, ones 18months and one is 3.

His grandma has the tenancy and he moved in with her in january, she has dementia and has a tendency to fall alot. However her grandson has a tendency to leave his children with the grandma and he will go out For A couple Of Hours
He also leave them i n his car unattended for long periods of time because they are asleep.
A couple of weekends ago the youngest was left unattended in The Back Garden Where She was In A Paddling Pool On Her Own And She Can Get Out On To The Road Aswell. He Drinks A Couple Of Bottles of Wine Every Night And I Have Heard Him Slap One Of His Kids Through THe WAll.

A COouple Of People Have Told Me To Report Him But Im Unsure Would I BU ?

Nope

Mrscropley · 09/08/2017 18:54

Unless you want to be giving a witness statement when they remove a dc body you need to get on the phone. .

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 09/08/2017 18:56

I made a thread about my neighbour as we don't get on.
Reporting out of spite is wanky.

Note: today I happen to like the word "wanky", it rolls off the tongue

minionsrule · 09/08/2017 18:58

Is this the neighbour whose grandkids are making loads of noise at night and they won't move the bed from the wall?

10greenapples · 09/08/2017 18:58

The op seems to be out to get her neighbours for some reason.

TuttiFruttiCutie · 09/08/2017 19:00

Hmm which of the two threads shall I comment on.

Yes I'd report if you know for certain this is happening not because you don't 'get on'.

minionsrule · 09/08/2017 19:02

Op can you get one of threads removed please

AdalindSchade · 09/08/2017 19:02

What's with the random capitals?
YANBU to report that obviously

An 18 monther left unsupervised in a paddling pool? Yes, definitely call them. (I'm biased - I really hate trying to resuscitate small children who have drowned)

Governoress86 · 09/08/2017 19:08

I would never report some one out of spite that's cruel

OP posts:
Governoress86 · 09/08/2017 19:09

I don't know why it has posted twice

OP posts:
Governoress86 · 09/08/2017 19:10

I'm not out to get my neighbours, they are disrespectful. I would never call SS without a valid reason. I'm not the only one where I love that has concerns. Even if we did get on i would still be concerned.

OP posts:
RoboticSealpup · 09/08/2017 19:11

I don't know why you're hesitating, I would've called them already. You will be anonymous.

Governoress86 · 09/08/2017 19:11

How do I take the other post down?

OP posts:
10greenapples · 09/08/2017 19:13

They will know it was you either way.

Governoress86 · 09/08/2017 19:14

Yes I know they will probably know it is me anyway but I'm genuinely concerned i would do it because I don't get on with them. I would not like it done to me out of spite

LoyaltyAndLobster · 09/08/2017 19:18

Oh wow!!

I'm the person that doesn't get involved in other people's business, but in this case I would have already called social services.

TheVoiceofDoom · 09/08/2017 19:20

Yes report as obvious potential risk to life/significant harm.

fullofhope03 · 09/08/2017 19:23

Christ, this is a no brainer! OF COURSE you must report them to SS!

ChevalierTialys · 09/08/2017 19:23

Male a record of everything you've seen and get on the phone to social services tomorrow. If you don't and something happens to one of those children, you will never forgive yourself.

Skittlesss · 09/08/2017 19:24

Why Would You Not Tell Someone That The Old Lady and The Kids Are Possibly Being Neglected or In DANGER?

thepumpk1neater · 09/08/2017 19:24

If this is true then obviously it's something that needs reporting.

This isn't the bed-against-wall poster is it?

Governoress86 · 09/08/2017 19:24

I have made a record of it and have prove aswell.

OP posts:
Embarrassedemma · 09/08/2017 19:28

You could hear a slap through a wall? That sounds awful although I can't imagine how you would have heard that. What do you have a recording of? If true then yes I would report but it will come across like it's being done out of revenge after a neighbour dispute
