Toddzilla Thread 2 - No Toddlers at the hen do please!

Quick summary:
Organising friend's hen do. All booked and paid for, sorted. Two weeks prior a friend attending, hereby known as Demanding Woman, tells me she will be bringing her toddler and DP along as toddler has tantrums that DP can't handle and won't sleep without her there. She will also require a private room now in the converted barn we are staying in, despite everyone agreeing to share etc.

A whatsapp exchange ensues with myself declaring that no this will no be happening and Demanding Woman getting very shirty. Demanding Woman takes it to bride who also shuts it down. So far Demanding Woman is still attending hen do in less than two weeks but is now trying to take control of hen do in terms of games/food/drink etc.

We now have a whole minibus of Mumsnetters, Toddlers, Toddler-eating-dogs, Elephants, hamsters, moody teenagers all planning to attend with boxes of popcorn to take over barn and avidly watch my first meeting with Demanding Woman which I'm definitely not completely and utterly dreading

I'm not sure I will have any further updates for a bit but I promise if there are any further mad details to be had, you will be the first to know.

@miss. My fleas are Superior Fleas. They had an intimation of what was going down so couldn't be bothered since they didn't want to bite the wrong person. The toad was only too happy in the rain here. I gather most other MNs who were coming couldn't get their horses/dogs into the surprisingly small bus provided.

Does DW have a job? I would love to know how she behaves at work. So pleased bride is ok, the situation could have ruined what should have been a pleasant occasion. I just can't get over the selfishness and complete disregard for the comfort of others, especially the bride.

Yes, the wedding IS childfree BUT because of DW's previous demand that her DP & DC would be attending hen-do, OP had to inform BTB. BTB then learnt that DW was intending to bring DC to wedding as 'she's just a baby' !!!!
BTB told DW that that would NOT be happening.

I am absolutely gomacked t the sheer idiocy of this woman! You and the bride told her in no uncertain terms! Did she really think that everyone would just coo over the toddler and allow them to stay? Good on the bride, I'm just sorry she didn't forcibly kick her out last night, taking the bride's room, what the actual fuck?! Stupid cow.

I hope the bride tells her not to come to the wedding.

Brilliant update, OP you have been great at keeping us in the loop- have you fessed up to the other hens about the thread?.
As for demanding woman, what a bloody cheek. Am assuming everyone had earmarked rooms and there would be clothes/makeup etc left from when you were getting ready to go out. She just wanted the nice room, how up her own derriere that woman is. Also the being late thing was planned as she hadn't told DH he and toddler were not invited, so rude.
I bet she does go to the wedding, please let us know when it is and if anything else happens.

It's probably just as well this has all kicked off on the hen do. Bride would be well within her rights to now uninvite the CF from the actual wedding because I'm damn sure she'd try this again. How could she possibly think she was going to get away with it?
